@davos - if you will be assessed by EA, kailangan may IELTS together with your other documents..

@davos - make sure complete na documents mo, especially if you need to make CDR.. eto ung medyo mahabang iprepare...

looking at your timeline, medyo kakapusin na oras before Jul1.. but don't be bothered by that.. ituloy mo lang lahat ng applications mo (IELTS - Skills Assessment).. and then pag tapos na yan lahat.. apply na sa DIAC .. or Skill Select kung after Jul1..

malay mo mas favorable syo ang Skill Select.. goodluck..

Tuloy mo lang po kahit abutan ka ng new rules. Di ka na kasi aabot. need mo yung ielts sa Skills assessment. then prepare mo muna yung CDR mo.

Parang pwede ka kasi sa Telecommunications engineer or Telecommunications network engineer.

@lock_code2004 Thanks hopefully mas favorable nga.May sample or form po ba kayo ng statutory declaration? Di din kasi ko makakuha ng detailed COE pero willing naman pirmahan ng supervisor ko kung meron statutory declaration

Hi @davos - technically its not called stat dec pag hindi Au citizen/PR ang pumirma..

<i>"If you are outside Australia and are unable to get an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident to complete a statutory declaration, Such statements are not statutory declarations under Australian law. However, in accordance with policy, they should be witnessed or certified according to the legal practices of the relevant country."</i>

However, for skills assessment purpose, pwede na ang COE with detailed job description na printed sa blank paper, mas mabuti kung meron kayong company letterhead.. then sign ng supervisor mo, get a copy of his/her ID, or passport kung mas okay.. then have it Notarised..

Hi! Salamat sa mga advice finally just got My positive assessment last week. Lodged my CDR last March 7, 2012... so approximately 10 weeks and processing.

I also didn't have COE as per the required format. My company only provided the COE with job title and salary so I submitted Statutory declaration signed from the Australian Embassy along with the COE and other proof of employment.

Hi guys I just got my IELTS results and got 7.5 overall band score. equivalent ba ito to just 10 points or can be rounded off to 8 for the point system in DIAC?Thanks

Reply to @davos_uno: It doesn't matter kung ano yung OBS mo. Whatmatter is that if you got 7 on all subtests the you get 10 points for diac. There is no such thing as rounding off your scores. If you get an 8 on all subtests then you can claim 20 points for it.

hi, ask ko lng po magiging valid pa rin b ung assessment to Engineers Australia and application ko for PR kahit n matapos n contract ko d2 as 457 visa holder? 1 year lng kc contract ko at matatapos n this coming october 2012..please advice.thanks

@grace024: very good question.. here is what is stated from EA FAQs:

<b>How long is the assessment letter valid for migration purposes?</b>

Whilst the assessment outcome will remain valid indefinitely, our understanding is that DIAC mandates that the assessment notification be no more than 5 years old at the date of migration application. If you require an updated letter of assessment after this time, you must return the ORIGINAL letter to the MSA office together with a completed Admin fee payment form

Reply to @lock_code2004: Sir, ayus talaga mga info nyo ah. By the book talaga. 😃 Migration agent ba kayo? 😃 Yung sa EA yata di naman sila masyadong strict. Wala naman silang binigay na validity dun sa assessment natin.

Reply to @k_mavs: Thanks k_mavs...mejo hesitant kasi ako sa assesment kasi kulang ako sa points. 60 points total lang maabot ko. Any advice sa next steps .. may first cousin ako sa sydney pero wala yata marereward na points kasi non-designated area sya.Advisable ba na ituloy ko assessment or dapat sure muna na makuha 65 points.
