@doublemint thatโs right, it is not a prerequisite but for those doing things without an agent, it would be just easier to get it formally assessed so additional evidence can be provided in the Visa application stage. DHA gives high regards to such formal assessments. Being an agent, I can be braver to just use the actual immigration legislation as my argument/reference when claiming skilled work assessment only because we have access to these legislations from our professional library. I would wonder how a non-agent will be able to defend their claim on Work experience without a proper assessment. Anyway, regardless, I still advise my clients to avail of the RSEA. That way, we have a stronger case to present since we can use the actual assessment results as evidence for the work experience at the same time referencing the facts stipulated in the immigration legislation.
