hello @wellac - COE from HR will be the usual with salary, position , start date. Bihira ako naka encounter dito na pumirma ang HR ng may detailed job description - pero baka meron din mangilan ngilan. Madalas kasi resistant ang HR to sign kasi hindi sila directly aware sa nilagay na job description - unless you use the one that is stated in the employment contract - which is usually outdated and generalized. Depende din siguro sa HR nyo pero mine is “by the book” ika nga- and will only prepare the “usual” COE - no additional details, etc.
Yung document na may detailed job description (Reference letter) - tayo ang magpeprepare kasi mas alam naten kung ano ilalagay, then ask our manager to sign for it.
Might be an awkward moment with your boss kasi none of us would like to divulge our plans of leaving our job (specially sa current job) - and create a negative impression sa boss. I guess it all depends on your relationship with your current boss - if he/she is willing and supportive , or resistant din gaya ng HR.
bottomline - whoever signs your reference letter - it is recommended na you prepare it yourself - kasi you know exactly what to indicate in it - para magtugma din sa nominated occupation na inaapplayan mo- para review and sign nalang sila - less hassle - more chances na mapapirma 🙂
