Hello kabayan,

I've requested British Council to send a copy to EA before middle of 2013. Then submitted application to EA just this Nov. Do I need to ask EA about sa IELTS doc ko if nareceive na ba nila? Instead of waiting na magfollow-up ang EA sa akin baka wala silang nareceive? O paranoid lang ako? Hehe...

@cvetu2004 Hi! As per my info, EA office will be close from Dec24-Jan2. So sa turnaround time, you should add about 2 more extra weeks from usual turnaround time.

hi guys, newbie here.. Just want to ask Im planning to send my CDR and other related docs

to EA hopefully by Jan next year and planning to take up ielts by Feb. but based on my calculation i would get 65 if my ielts score is at least 7. what if i fail or score only 6, thus reducing my score to 55 only. what will happen to my application to EA? thanks a lot in advance..

@basti skills assessment by EA is separate from Eoi application.. In the case you mentioned, assuming you satisfied the minimum ielts reqt for EA, then you will get a positive skills assessment..

If your EOI is just 55pts, you can still submit the EOi but it will not progress.. Unless you find ways to get additional pts (eg retake ielts, state sponsorship, etc)

Send ka blank email to msastatus@engineersaustralia.org.au with the subject Status.

CDR applications received on the 26th August 2013 are currently with an assessing case officer -formal advice of the outcomes will be generated within the next 10 days or so

Ako dati parati naga send email ok naman sila mag reply.

pwede ko kaya ipare-assess yung occupation ko para maging electrical engineering technician? Ang hirap sa engineering technologist, sarado ang state sponsorship para dito.

I have some inquiries regarding fee payment, in the method of payment, what will I select, is it the standard cdr assessment which is AUD 550 or the relevant skilled emplyment which is AUD 150. btw, I'm appying for visa 189 and I'm trying to apply as Telecommunications Engineer. Thanks a lot in advance for the response.

to have a basis for claiming points on work exp... i suggest you avail the additional service (relevant skilled employment)... so cdr assess fee 620 + employment assessment fee 250..

i just checked EA website and those are the fees applicable..

pwede din naman.. pero their assessment is the basis of the CO for awarding points sa EOI mo..

assuming hindi ka nagpa-assess ng work exp mo... nag claim ka ng 8 yrs work exp = 15 pts... at ang total points mo is 60 pts...na invite ka to apply for visa.. nag apply ka, at nag ka case officer.. pag-evaluate ni CO, nakita nya na hindi nmn pala relevant ang 1 work exp mo.. so sabi nya, 5 yrs lang ang pwede mo i claim, meaning 10pts lang.. therefore magkukulang ang EOI pts mo=55pts.. ang result visa denied.. sayang ang lahat ng binayad mo.. example ko lang ito...

my point, yung work exp assessment is additional fee, pero it will give you peace of mind in claiming work exp if its relevant or not.. you may say its relevant, pero baka sa assessment criteria nila hindi nmn pala..

now if you really say na relevant talaga at sure na sure ka.. okay din naman.. it is your call..

Hi guys! Nung Dec. 26 nag 16 weeks na yung CDR ko with EA but since they are on a holiday I figured baka madelay ng konti. Nung Jan.3, I sent status inquiry and I received a reply saying na plus 10 days more pa daw since they just got back. Prolonging the agony. 🙁 Is there a chance na mababa or negative ang result ng assessment ko?

If negative, what are my other options?

If positive, what is my next move?

up my IELTS exam or mas advisable na take my IELTS first, then wait for the result. Hopefully, if I reached my desired grade, then I forward my assessment to EA? Thanks a lot.

@basti Ganyan nangyari sa amin. Ang advise ng agent namin is to go for EA assessment muna using old IELTS scores. Then she gave us two options. 1) Go so State Sponsorship to get additional 5 points to make our points go out to 60 and apply for subclass 190 OR 2.) Retake IELTS and try to get an OBS of 7, which will give us 10points, making our total points 65 na. Then we can apply for subclass 189.

Hindi pa namin alam which option to take.
