@merc2013: hello po. Ang masasabi ko lang, it's double the effort in trying to understand what they are asking over the phone. I had to strain my ears, sa totoo lang!
Unang-una, heavily accented sila. Pangalawa, mahirap as it is, makipag-usap over the phone kahit nga nagtatagalog kayo pareho. Dagdagan mo pa english with their aussie accent. It can get quite tricky.
This for me, was the most challenging part talaga: trying to understand what they're saying! Ang ginawa ko, pag hindi ko talaga gets kung ano tanong, sinasabi ko na lang "pardon me". The rest of the time, dedma ko na pinagsasabi nung interviewer. Aussies have heavy accents mayt. 😃 I think it will help if you try to get used to hearing them talk before the actual interview. Syempre, di ko ginawa to. I didn't realize this at that time.
Having said all that though, here's wishing you luck! Kayang-kaya yan. The fact is, they've set aside time to interview you. It just means they are already interested in you. 🙂
