Mga sir at mam questions po.

Nag open ako ng bank account last Jan 2019, may implication ba kun ang BM namen e next year July pa (so more than a year since account opening)? Inde rin ako nag apply ng TFN para iwas sa double tax since dito pa rin naman ako SG. So dun sa AU bank wala pang nakalink na TFN. Nagemail na ako sa bank pero wala pang sagot e. Inaalala ko lang baka may problem since inask ako specifically nun bank officer kun kailan BM ko nun inactivate ko yun bank nun IE namen. May mga natransfer na kasi akong pera e baka magkaaberya.hehe May naka experience ba nito sa inyo?
Kapag naka BM na ba then let say may TFN na sa AU, kapag transfer ba yun CPF papasok ng AU ma taxan? o let say kahit anong huge amount may tax ba pag transfer nun?

@flaming_vines in my case nagwire transfer ako from DBS to Au e hindi naman natax-an.

@yosh10 Huge amount like SG na CPF? So convert rate nun bank sa DBS, yun din ang pumasok? Kasi nun mga nakaraan nag transfer ako using transferwise mga 10k. Ok naman no tax. Iniisip ko lang kun malakihan na, Inde naman nila alam siguro na from CPF money yun itransfer mo at nag earn ng interest yun CPF while AU PR ka na. hehe. Salamat sa pagsagot

@SGtoAU goodluck and congrats sa BM kapatid. ask ko lang magkano inabot ng airbnb for two months? Paano yan ni contact mo lang yung host then nag ok na for 2 months? kasama naba dun ang kuryente?

@ms_ane makikisagot ako since airbnb din kami for 2 weeks last time. Online booking lang ang airbnb. Parang hotel booking lang. If open ang days na gusto you can book. Yes airbnb includes all utilities, yung amin pati unlimited Internet.

@flaming_vines not taxable as long as you are not considered an Australian resident for that FY. Once you are considered a resident, you need to declare any interests or gains though I read somewhere that ATO rarely audit individuals but it's better to be safe than sorry. They have the so-called AUSTRAC who monitors financial transactions and they can alert ATO or other gov't agencies if there is a red flag.

@carlosau Just update your immiaccount once you receive the updated ID's especially passport. I had ID's that were under my maiden name and updated immi once I received the married name.

Nagairbnb din ako ng 2 months. iba iba sa airbnb minsan 2 weeks lang sila or sa case ko pag 28 days nagbook may 45% discount nag-allow magrent makikita mo to sa availability dates tapos magmessage ka sa knila kun gusto mong magextend. accomodating namn yun naging experience ko sa mga nagpapaairbnb. yun tinirhan ko even offered if gusto ko daw long term magstay sa kanila tapos willing sila lower rates than what was published sa airbnb. Yun nakuha ko may unlimited free breakfast supplies syang kasama like milk, tea, cereals, jams, coffee, butter. laundry din free kasi may washer na kasma at may libreng detergents. check nyo mabuti yun house rules ng airbnb nyo. hope this helps

@juliatheambitiousoul Thanks for the clarification. Does it take into account that I still don't have a TFN? We already did our IE. Technically, we already activated our PR. So does this means from this point forward all gains are taxable even without TFN? From what I understand there is no way for us to declare gains as we still don't have a TFN. Our target BM will be mid next year. Only then we can register a TFN.

@flaming_vines PR is different from being a resident for tax purposes. You can be an Australian citizen but not considered as a resident for tax purposes. As for your case, you are not considered a resident for tax purposes as you did not move yet permanently and you stayed in AU for less than 6 months. You can refer to ATO for guidelines https://www.ato.gov.au/Individuals/International-tax-for-individuals/Work-out-your-tax-residency/

@ms_ane $2000 a month po yun airbnb and tama kasama na utilities dun kasi para syang hotel. yun landlord namen mejo strict, nag ask pa ng reference before na approve yun rental. nagbayad kame first month advanced. hindi pwede i cancel yun first month once na book na pero yun second month pwede i cancel one month before

Hello, question sa PDOS. Yung anak ko kasi exempted siya from attending the seminar coz he’s just 3yo. Nakalagay dun sa requirements na kelangan ng medical certificate?? What format or what exactly do they need?

If registered by proxy, representative is required to present the following documents in addition to the usual required documents:

Medical certificate/report (except those 60 years old and above)

Letter of authorization from the emigrant (if applicable to the case); and

Original valid identification card with photograph of the proxy.
