Registration is required but you can be exempted from attending the PDOS if you have stayed in Au for at least 2 months.

you can opt not to attend PDOS if more than 2 months, but the CFO sticker is needed for Emigrants. Better be on the safe side.

hi @jennahvelasquez tama po. that is the current global processing time for 189. although pwedeng mas mabilis, pero expect mo yung processing ng visa within that time frame.

Hello! Malayo layo pa kami sa Big Move but I want to ask lang what's the best thread I can start with on lodging applications to AU. We have IELTS na and working on our docs for our assessing body. We consulted a migration agent pero namamahalan talaga kami so we are leaning towards DIY. So we are reading success stories here and nakaka motivate talaga siya

@megger By law po required to register sa CFO. Bale ang gagawin magpapa-sched ng PDOS pero any day pwedeng pumunta na sa CFO to process and pay the fees. May ilalagay po silang sticker sa passport.

On a side note, I don't know if they really check at the airport prior to departure. Madalas chaotic ang exit procedures lalo na sa CebuPac kaya I am not sure if they did check the CFO sticker last time I exited Pinas. It was a 4 hour chaos from lining up for check-in, checking of bags and luggages, to immigration and even prior to entering the departure gate. Di ko alam kung saan o aling part dun tiningnan nila ang CFO sticker. But then, better be on the safe and sure side rather than be delayed just because of that sticker.

In fairness, mabilis naman ang processing sa CFO, we were there for less than 30 minutes although sa flow chart nila, the process can be done in 6 minutes. Mahaba pa ang binuno namin sa traffic along Roxas Blvd.

mabilis lang magbook ng appointment online. tumawag pa ko some time later sa hotline nila to confirm and helpful naman ung nakausap namin.

naguber lang kami papunta and mabilis lang ung pagcheckin+payment pagdating.

informative rin ung actual seminar. i’d say mga 70% ng content aware na rin naman ako from reading here and through prior research. pero worth parin naman ung natutunan namin from them.

and yes. chneck sa immigration ung sticker. pagkatapos ko iabot passport and printout ng visa. hinanap nung officer ung page kung san nakalagay ung sticker bago nya ako pinapasok

better to be safe than sorry. sundin nalang natin ang tamang proseso. kung may queries ka, mas mabuti pa tumawag nalang sa kanila para sigurado. 🙂

Hi guys, just to double check, after the visa grant do we need to do anything else in connection with ImmiAccount, Australian Embassy, etc? I lined up all the other things we need to do (CFO seminar, PagIbig, etc), just thought I'd double check with everyone regarding the visa part.

It's up to you if you want to go with a migration agency but everything that you need to know is already in the AU Immigration website . I did not consult an agency too. Mine took almost a year and a half BUT it was because I worked on it at a very slow pace.

A good thread to start is the ACS thread if you are in IT (not sure which industry you guys are in)

Ours came in 2 months, lodged Sept 2018 granted Nov 2018. De-facto, too. One factor might be during the time of lodgement, only the NBI and medical was pending. All other s , including Proof of Relationship, were already in during the visa application lodgement.

If CFO seminar and SSS/PHILHEALTH/PAGIBIG is done, all you need to do is bring a printout of the visa and show the CFO sticker to PH immi, along with you ticket , baggage and family :-)

You may want to look at items allowed to bring in AU on the border force website ( balot is not one of them, wink wink :-) )

Transport card ( Myki, V/line)

Medicare (analogous to PhilHealth),

Centrelink(for other gov't services),
