guys... help... hahaha... ano ba talaga dapat unahin to prepare the move to OZ... inayos ko na linkedin profile ko... yun lang... ano ba dapat ilagay sa checklist... huhuhu... lito na ako.. d ko nga alam kung i-risk ko ba na next year na mag move para matapos lang yung contract ko dito sa condo or lipat na by june... huhuhu... what do you guys think?

ako din nasa planning stage pa lang. im reading threads related to moving to OZ kung ano mga dapat i-prepare. nkkoverwhelm, parang ang dami dapat gawin pero dko alam alin uunahin. 🙂

So far, here are my random thoughts including yung mga malabo pa sakin kung ano gagawin:

SSS auto-debit arrangement with BPI (buti na-mention dito)
Update pag-ibig status from locally employed to OFW, para ma-continue ko pa din ang paghuhulog
Deactivate/cut Globe postpaid line. Sayang ang mobile# ko, for more than 10 yrs ko na gamit yun. Im thinking to re-contract to the lowest postpaid plan ng globe para ma-retain ko yung # ko then gagawin ko lang syang roaming phone ko para my parents can still text me. Kaya lang 299 ang lowest plan ng globe.
BPI bank accounts- ano ba gagawin ko dito? Nagrresearch pko kung pwede ko ba i continue to or applicable pa ba on my situation. Ang convenient kase ng online banking ng BPI. Siguro iccontinue to noh kase pano yung SSS. Hahah..naguguluhan talaga ko.
Credit cards - yung HSBC pwede ko ba i-continue yun, naguguluhan pko kung magagamit ko pa sya.
Create linked-in and seek acct.
Update my CV to OZ format.
Clean my laptop. Remove unnecessary and pirated files. 🙂
Buy clothes for cold season like jackets, sweaters, socks, hand gloves, bonnet?, winter jacket? Iniisip ko pa kung ano ano dapat. Nagtitingin nko sa surplus shop at uniqlo kung ano pwede bilhin na mura lang.
Pumunta ng dentist. Ipaayos ang ngipin. Pasta, bunot, jacket at kung ano man.
Magpabakuna.
Mag stock ng mga medical needs like medicines, 1st aid kit, etc.
Mag stock ng beauty & hygiene needs. Di ko alam kung gano kadami and kung allowed sa airport.
Mag pa-rebond days/weeks before the flight.
Research more, plan and make a checklist......

Nakapag-inquire na po ako sa BPI regarding online enrollment sana ng SSS pero wala daw. Kailangan kasi magfill-out ng SSS Form 119 tapos ipapasa sa BPI or other accredited banks na may account kayo para sa debit ng monthly contributions.

Sa Pag-Ibig naman, ang alam ko eh kung saang branch po ng Pag-ibig nagre-remit ang company nyo pwede i-withdraw. 2 to 3 weeks daw po ang processing pero napakiusapan ko na i-expedite. ipinakita ko lang yung plane ticket. So 2 weeks daw makukuha ko na yung check. Passport lang at saka Visa Grant Notice ang requirements. May 2 forms pa na i-fill out pero dun na po yun sa Pag-Ibig branch makakakuha. Lahat po ng contributions nyo pwede ma-withdraw.

Sa Sen. Gil Puyat branch po ako nag-apply. Mga 45 minutes po natapos ang transaction ko.</blockquote>

thanks @stickynote, may minimum number of years ba na nakapagcontribute ka para mawidraw young funds? let say minimum of 5 years? may gnun ba?

wala po minimum no. of years. If ang reason po ay permanent migration, pwede i-withdraw ang contributions. yung sa akin nga po 45 monthly contributions lang. Maliit lang makukuha ko pero sayang din. Kahit paano pandagdag din.

hindi ko pa kase ma-decide what specific date ako lilipad heheh...

may question me regarding driving. is it advisable to learn driving and get drivers license while still here in the Phils. Para medyo madali n mag driving lesson pagdating sa OZ? Kahit na wala ako car dito sa Phils so hindi ko mappractice. Sa Oz nman, bka it would take years bago ako mkbili ng car. I wasn't including this in my checklist but a friend (abroad but not in oz) told me na sana nag driving lesson daw sya sa Pinas.

In my opinion, I think it would be better if you will just learn it here in Australia para fresh start. I reckon it would be much practical if you totally learn it the Aussie way rather that partly learn driving with our inherent bad manners on the road in the Philippines.

Don't worry, maka work ka lang and madali na iyang kotse na iyan!! It definitely will not take years...

Kahit na visa grant na kami ng hubby ko, di pa rin kmi mkpga count down. Wla pa kaming date sa daming options namin binigay sa sarili hehe count nlng cguru sa IED, jun10,'14 hehe

Concerns:

Expire contract in hubby sa work ngaun February, tinatanonh sya ngaun f mgpa extend.
bago lng na transfer to another team si hubby na plus points sa resume nya, gusto pa nyang mg experience kc bago lng xa sa career nyang to.
sa July expire nmn ung contract namin sa rented flat, kawawa nmn flat mates nmin, but they said they understand nmn.
Then next year pa ako mkpg tender ng resignation kc wlang bonus na makukuha f this year ako mg file, 2-months notice pa nmn ung compny ko.
At gusto na rn nmin start family ASAP kc malapit na lalagpas nedad nmin sa calendatyo haha pressure

makiki-countdown na din ako... ngbook na ko sa airasia.. RM1460 lng inabot yung ticket nmin ng misis ko with 30kgs at 40kgs check-in baggage. Jun 2, 2014 ang flight (KL-SYD)

@meehmooh ng-open na ko sa NAB at ngtry mgwire transfer ng 1K AUD. Meron separate charge yung NAB aside sa charge ng local bank.. 12AUD yung nabawas... 2-3 days sya mgreflect sa NAB online. I suggest na todo mo na yung pgwire transfer pra 1 time charge lng. Plan ko mgwire transfer ulit kpg malapit na ko lumipad ng AU.

@solidjeff ... oo nga.. one time transfer na lng talaga plan namin.. But was it thru bank? Meron kasi dito sa Sg ng pay2home remittance... 20 dollars lng ang charge regardless of the amount.

As mentioned previously, wala ako access sa NAB online banking when I was still in Australia but it could be different from the case of @solidjeff; the relationship manager confirmed to me that my money has been credited around 2-3 days after sending the remittance.
