@solidjeff wala pa. tbd pa kasi mauuna ang hubby ko pupunta sydney para mag hanap ng work and unit to rent bago kami sumunod ni baby. Mahirap kasi if walang source of income pag may baby.

may tanong nga pala ako regarding the initial entry guys, sino po ba dito ang secondary applicant na na-una mag initial entry kesa sa main applicant? worried kasi si hubby na baka ma border security daw cya.hahaha...

@solidjeff bitbit ko din yung work ko pagdating ko dito hehe, work from home kasi ako with US based client, pero may prospective local employer na rin, hintay lang yung formal offer inabot kasi ng holiday yung background check.

@gmad06 Naginspect kami ng mga property tapos nagrequest ako ng employment reference sa client ko and sinabihan ko na rin yung client ko na pagmay tumawag sabihin lang guaranteed ung position ko for 12 months until makahanap ng local work

Bali wala po akong PH company, directly contracted ako ng client ko sa US, very supportive naman sila sa pagmove namin kaya even after makakuha ng local work gusto nila iparttime ko pa rin yung work ko sa kanila, kaya we opted na magmove walking distance lang sa prospective employer sa may Surrey Hills 🙂

nako sis @moonwitchbleu ... don't worry... check mo yung sa visa conditions... pag nakalagay dun na NIL yung visa condition dun sa grant ng secondary...pwede xa mag initial entry before the primary applicant... 🙂

@cchamyl NIL din nakalagay sa condition namin, pati si baby pwde ma una, hahahah... may nakagawa na nito sa fb page nag reply. ok lang daw pero they emailed the CO dati, sa CO sila nag ask. So mag-eemail nalang din kami and will print it in case i.question siya pagdating doon, ipapakita nalang nya reply ni CO. paranoid kasi c hubby 😃

in this case, need ba magbyad ng tax sa AU kung employed ka ng US company?

Sinaihan din kasi ung wife ko na employed ng isang US company dito sa SG na magsabi ng maaga before we move to Oz kasi baka pwede gawan ng paraan na maging contractual sya ng company. Inadjust ba nila sweldo mo sa AU rate? 🙂 thanks!

Hi Guys!

Our D'day is on March 21, 2014. 7PM Flight to Sydney via Qantas.

We have started preparing a grand relocation plan as far back as 3 months out.

But basically, the major and necessary preparations that we still have yet to accomplish are:

Receive renewed passport.
Inform CO of new passport number.
Attend CFO seminar.
Cancel Credit Cards and wipe out bank accounts.
Resign (hindi pa ito sure kasi mukhang may chance na ma relocate kami both to Sydney.)
Cancel Cable and Broadband subscriptions.
Plan and execute Despedida partey!!

Nakaka excite talaga. Pero so far, as what my sig says, slowly, everything is falling into place.

In fact, we need not worry about accomodation for at least a month. Kahit wala kaming kamag anak sa Sydney, we have a good Australian friend who generously offered his home to us for 1 month free of charge and even volunteered to pick us up at the airport when we arrived.

Parang everything that's happening to us is really pointing to our destiny in OZ.

Anyone here started packing their clothes? I'm interested in finding out where I can purchase yung vacuum sealer. Says that it can save you to as much as 50-80% in space. Anyone tried it out yet?

@rooroo Nde ko lang sure, nde pa rin kasi ako familiar with taxation but based sa PDOS any income should be declared in & out of AU, may nakuha akong claim with centrelink and inestmate ko yung income ko until July kahit wala pa akong local work. based on that estimate nacompute yung benefit na nakuha ko. In terms of adjustment sa salary. Nde kasi US based yung rate ko.

Try Japan Homes if you are based in PH 🙂 mdami kasi gnun dito sa SG nun sa japan homes 😃 ok yan! yung mga winterclothes namin sa bahay na ginamit namin before sa pagtravel namin, ganan namin inistore para di takaw sa space 🙂

thanks! well sana iconsider nun company nya yun same case ng sayo para may income pa din while applying for local jobs. Yung sa centrelink, pagdating mo ng Melb nag apply ka na agad? Plan ko din apply agad pero yung sa rental assistance siguro wala kami makukuha kasi we'll be staying muna sa family.

@rooroo sa centrelink need mo muna ng TFN, para sayo and sa wife mo, nde ka kasi makakaproceed online if wala pa kayo TFN. Yup maganda yung may income ka para nde palabas lahat ng pera and nde stress sa paghahanap ng work. Yung payment nmin sa Centrelink wala pang rental assistance yan, di ko kasi naprovide yung rental certificate dahil naghouse-sit kami sa friend ko habang nasa Manila sila, although nagbayad kami ng rent pero hassle din kasi kung hihingan pa namin ng proof of papirmahin pa namin yung friend ko kaya nde ko na lang pinush, pero ngayon try ko iupload yung lease contract namin, lets see kung may madadagdag. Thanks!
