Master Of Eng'g

I'm planning to get a Master of Engineering,I am a M.E in our country but i am thinking that it will do a lot of calculation since we are dealing with eng'g problem,i am already tired of solving problem mathematically just like in our home country.In our Engg days before,we ate solving problems mathematically during breakfast,lunch,dinner and we have also a midnight mirienda..so is there any suggestions? i mean are we allowed to do a master in different field even if we have an engg backround? maybe in the field of science,environment and management? and is the education here is composed of semester? not years? in 1 semester here how many months is that?

Thats great Sheep, ako din mag aaral nman ng advance diploma of egineering design. What i heard is mas madali mag aral dito compare sa atin. Basta mataas ang english skill level mo mas madali para sayo kasi more on writing nman dito at research. 2 semester in each year ang school program dipende nman sa state kung anung schedule nagsisimula ang class. Puede ka nman mag part time study while you work full time. Kung masteral ang kukunin mo baka on-line na lang ang studies mo. Anyway just seach din sa net. Goodluck

@sheep - normally you would take up graduate studies:

to complement your bachelor degree.. (example BMech Engr, then MS in Proj Management)
or if you want to change careers.. (example BMech Engr, then MS petroleum/Environmental Engineering)
or if you see your self doing operations/management ( Engineering or Technology Management/Management Studies/MBA)

but make sure that whatever your take, is aligned to your long term career objective...

I completed master in engineering, because i know i want to strengthen my technical skills in my field. After a few years, i realize i want to study again, I took MBA naman.. i guess my point is, nothing can stop you kung anung gusto mong kunin, you just have to prove to the admission department why do you think you need that graduate degree and of course that you are capable of completing it..

Graduate studies in AU will be approximately 1-2 years (fulltime) to minimum of 2-4 years (part time).. School year is 2 semesters, 1st sem March-June/Jul, 2nd Sem July-Nov/Dec

Ayos itong thread na ito. I may not have inputs pero susubaybayan ko ito for I am also considering to take my Masters doon. Well ako naman I hope to take an MS to be able to teach someday.

salamt lock code and totoy...well i want to shift carrier kasi medyo sawa nko working in engg side mostly i was assign in regional area...hmm...want to take master's degree para maybe someday i can teach here or kung who knows maka stay ako sa pinas ng 5 months or more than that pwede akong magturo para may income nman ako...i am considering distant education but i want to personally experience how ausie teach their student para ma kompara ko sa atin...sa atin kasi sorry to say this may mga teacher na nagpapayabangan kng sinong maraming bagsak yung ang sikat sa school at proud to be called as terror in a class,pag maliit lang ang ibinagsak mong student kakantiyawan ka ng mga kasamahan mo sa school...(hindi na man lahat)..maybe will email one university here so taht i can ask more detailed questions....

right after i completed my master degree, nagturo din ako sa isang university sa pinas, part time lang for 2 years, fri evening and whole day saturday... extra income.. ayos naman..

check mo nga website ng schools malapit sa area mo..

and see their offered graduate programs..

or minsan meron sila mga open sessions, you can attend and meet their admission officers..

pwede ba transferred ng masteral? I took my MEEE major in Microelec in UP pero nde ko natapos , left with 8 units dahil nag singapore na ako.. sana may credits.. but if not gusto ko din magaral dyan at sabi nila na tax rebate yung nagastos sa pag aaral .. totoo ba yun?
