Hello, I need your advice. Do you think there's a higher chance if I have the following scores:

ANZSCO Code: 252411

Visa Subclass: 189/190 (5 points)

Age: 25-32 (30 points)

English: Proficient (10 points)

Qualification: Bachelor (15 points)

OWE: 7 yrs (10 points)

TOTAL: 70 points.

Do you guys recommend to submit my EOI? Or should I retake my PTE? (Medyo hassle to be honest, lol). This year, mag-8 years na ako sa work, so I have additional 5 points for OWE.

@brainsap Hi po! As far as I know, i think you can submit an EOI. I remember, may gumawa yan dito sa forums a few months back. I just forgot the who the user was.

pero, ito ginawawa nya, while he was waiting for the invitation, nag retake sya ng PTE until na kuha na superior score nya.

anyway, hintay nalang tayo sa iba, baka maka bigay sila ng inputs.

@tmasuncion thank you for your input. hindi ko lang kasi sure if there such a cut off when it comes to 190. Afaik, pag-189 ata, at least 80 points dapat meron ka. thats my concern din. PTE is another option pero para ayoko na muna mag-PTE as much as possible. hahaha

Question naman sa police clearance. Sa abroad kasi ako nakatira mga 12 years na. Dapat ba sa Pinas ako kumuha ng NBI clearance, or kung san ako sa abroad? "If you are over 16 years of age, provide a police certificate from every country (including your home country) in which you have spent a total of 12 months or more in the last 10 years since turning 16."

E sa iisang country sa abroad ko lang ni spend lahat ng 12 years ko. And 37 years ako. Nde ko lang gets kung pati yung from 16 years old pa.

@ernieboy take for example yung sakin. Born sa pinas then nag work sa SG.

I provided an NBI Clearance for my Pinas residency, and SG Police Clearance for Singapore residency.

May mga kapatid din tayo dito that stayed more than 12 months (in the last 10 years) let say sa Malaysia, Saudi, UAE.. Pati iyon kinuhaan nila ng police clearance.

In my opinion lang, police clearance is one of the requirements that takes quite some time to acquire - so mas maganda na prepared ka and available ang mga ito.

Whether you acquire your NBI clearance abroad (to where you are residing now via the philippine embassy) or sa Pinas - either way would work. If nakapag process ka ng NBI clearance online after 2016 (yata di ako sure) - you can just renew your NBi clearance again online. mas mura, less hassle.

@ernieboy if for the last 10 years nasa ibang bansa ka, enough na ang police clearance ng bansa na yun. I stayed 12 years overseas. Hindi na ako kunuha ng nbi sa pinas. Residential address ko sa application is overseas din. Country of origin lang ang pinas.

@Ayel Hello! If you are planning to apply for Permanent Residency, you may check the following links for the 2 types of PR visa you can apply to:

Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189)

Hi po ano po ba ang needed to claim the 5pts for the part that is competent sa english?

@Christian_Dave hello! To claim the 5 points for partner skills ito po ang need:

Proof that when you were invited to apply for this visa, your partner:

was under 45 years old
had competent English

How to prove?

Personally, I took the PTE academic and had my skills assessed by ACS so we can claim points for partner skills.
