@rvonline ano po experience nyo? ako po kasi structural, san po kayo sa au? kasi po visa po nmen 190NSW, may tips po ba kayo para mas madali makhanap ng work? balak po namin mag apply muna as drafter habang naghahanap ng engineering na work talaga.
Hi @ali0522 may work ka na ba? If wala pa, open mined ka ba? hahaha!
Kidding aside. there are times na mahirap talaga makakuha ng work ang mga professionals from ph without local exp. usually 1-3mos ang antayan. yung iba minsan less than a month or prior to arriving au may work na. sa mga choosy and talagang ma pride sa naging work experience at position nila sa pinas, minsan umaabot more than 3 mos makakuha ng work.
In my own personal experience, marami naman trabaho sa au. realated man sa profession natin or hindi. If you are really confident with your experience sa pinas but up to now wala ka pa din work, why not aim for a lower position or any job relating to CE or the construction industry. like you said a draftsperson is a good idea. ang importante makapasok ka lang sa industry then you can show them what skills you have and work your way up to the position you want easier.
worst case scenario, kung hirap talaga, maraming ibang trabaho dyan na non-related sa profession mo. you can do that and avoid an empty pocket. mas ok na yung may work kahit papano may pang gastos ka habang nagaantay ka ng magandang work.
not to brag but it took me less than a month to land a job. the same job i do sa ph. the thing is from a department head, i had to start from the bottom because of the "no local experience" thing. annoying but i'm doing pretty good now with the salary i wanted. sabi ng mga kakilala ko swerte ko daw dahil wala pa nga daw 1 month may work na ko. yung iba 3+ mos wala pa. pero honestly sabi ko sa sarili ko, kapag hindi ko nakuha trabaho na gusto ko in a month, papasukin ko na kahit anong trabaho. as in literally kahit ano (na legal of course) just to keep me busy.
Sencya na mahaba naisulat ko. hahaha. i just want you and others to know that there are a lot of job opportunities here in au. and the fact that on-shore kayo, you are one step close sa pangarap nyo. hard work is the key and always have plan b, c, d hangang z kung pwede. like i always say, everything will fall at it's place at the right time. kaya never give up. cheers!
