You can easily check in realestate.com.au or domain.com.au. Dee Why and Chatswood are both nice places to live at.
Me and my wife had the chance to live in both places. Dee Why is very nice because of the beaches there. There is also an asian shop at Redman Rd that sells Filo goods and filo mass and choir at St. Kevin's church. There is also a huge Westfield mall in Brookvale which is close by. However, your general public transpo is bus. In, Chatswood, it is also nice because everything is there including the trains. just without the beach =P
I'd prefer Dee Why still though it's a bit crowded now compared to 10yrs ago. In Dee Why, we rented a room somewhere in May Rd. Landlord is filipina who lives there. It is a huge house but with 10 huge bedrooms if I remember correctly. I'm not sure if there's vacancy but mostly filos renting there as well.
