Good day po! I'm planning po sana to apply for visa subclass 189.. Then balak ko po mag apply muna as OT assistant. Saka ko na po asikasuhin registration ko pag andon na po. Tanong ko po kung IELTS lang po ba dapat na kunin? Or pwede po ba yung PTE? Salamat po!

hi @hazquin beforeyou can apply for migration, you should be finished with stage 1 or desktop assessment of your qualification from the OT council.

"On completion of the Stage 1 desktop assessment, the occupational therapist will be advised in writing of the suitability of qualifications for the purpose of applying for skilled migration. A certified copy of this assessment letter should be provided with your application for migration purposes to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP)."

You can take IELTS or PTE. Good luck!

@epiboy99 Hi po! kakagrant lang ng visa ko and Occupational therapist din po ako. Ask ko lang po, if may idea kayo which area sa NSW madaming job opportunity? and tama po na dapat supervised muna for 6mos diba?

@hydroquinones Congratulations! Yung wife ko yung OT and based kami sa South Australia so not really sure where sa NSW madaming job opportunity. Pero definitely mas madami sa NSW compared sa SA.

Yes, supervised practice full time (30 hours a week) for a minimum of 3 months na l;ang. Di na 6 months.

Hi. I’m an occupational therapist as well. I submitted my documents through SkillSelect for the 189 VISA in June 2019. My total # of points used to be 70, but was changed to 80 in November 2019. Still no response as of now. Does it usually take this long?
