No more flights na si cathay to Syd/mel 🙁 earliest available flight is December 31 pa. Ayoko naman mag new year sa airport/airplane haha. Kung hahanap naman ako ng available flight sa ibang airlines, baka di na mawaive ang quarantine fee. Malaki pa chance macancel ulit flights as long as may pandemic.
I guess it is best to postpone the move for this year. Rebook na lang ako ng January flights kaysa ipilit ko umalis this year. Free rebook naman ang CX.

Hi po, question lang. After ng grant, usually ilang months ung binibigay nilang time before ka required mag move sa Au? Is it the same for everyone ba? Thanks po!

Minsan may 6 months, pero tama si lecia usually 1 year 🙂

May nabasa ako sa kabilang forum, not sure kung applicable pa rin until now. Haha. But generally, naglalaro lang sya up to a year from the grant date.

Napabalik ako sa Aus journey namin 🙂

Ung Enter before date namin, same pala sya sa expiration ng NBI namin. Kumuha ako ng NBI mga Nov 7 tas same month din na naglodge sa EOI. Got our ITA 2 weeks later tas ung grant is May na the next year. Ung enter before date namin is Nov 7, a year after our NBI. This was in 2017-2018 pala ha, not sure if may recent changes 🙂

Six months in our case probably due to our submission of a health declaration.

@kingsolomond sa amin after 1 year from grant date (Jan 17, 2020). Akala ko nga noong una hindi 1 year yung sa amin kasi nag expire na NBI clearance and police clearance namin early Jan 2020. Tapos pinag medical pa ulit daughter namin Dec 2019.

@robinsyreyes hi! Buti pa sa inyo na waive na. Yung sa amin I sent an email Aug 30 pero until now wala pa rin reply. Sabi sa autoresponse email nila na it will take only 5-7 business days for processing pero lampas na. Matatapos na quarantine namin on Sep 13.

Mbuti pa kau nka bug move na. Kmi ilang fligh cancelled nrin since March until now ndi prin sure kng confirm na un nirebook ng cathay sa oct 25 from mnila to melbourne

@kars Baka pwede magnegotiate kung sa kakilala or referral yung unit. Pero kung yung unit nakaadvertise sa mga sites like realestate.com.au malabo makanegotiate. Kailangan mo kasi magsubmit ng application kung interested ka sa unit and yung may-ari ang pipili among the applicants. So kung yung ibang applicants hindi naman tumatawad sa rental price, malamang hindi pipiliin ng may-ari yung applicant na tumatawad.

you can try to negotiate, at least $10-20 lower than the expected weekly rent 🙂

yung rental din kasi depends on how close to the city the location of the rental is, so better research and compare po around the area you would like to move-in! 🙂

Kami rin po ilang beses na nacancel ang fllights. Yun una nmin CebuPac nun March then ngbook nlng kmi Cathay dpat nun July 11 sna eh nglockdown nman ang Victoria kya hanggang ngaun wla prin confirm flight. Pro nbasa ko sa news bka mg increase na sila ng number of Australians na i allow to go back to oz to give way to xmas. Sana nga pra mkapg big move nrin bfore xmas.
