APPLYING FOR A JOB WHILE ON TOURIST VISA

@catthsy I don't think it is possible. I have been reading site of AU about visa but no such option?

Share ko lng po ung napanuod ko sa "Boarders Security" na show. May kababayan tayo na becky na pumasok sa AU ng tourist. Pinaghinalaan sya ng mga immigration officers kung bakit may mga dala syang documents (diploma, etc.) and pagkakaalala ko sinagot nya sa officer na balita nya na may discriminasyon sa AU at dinala nya un para patunayan sa mga aussie na may pinagaralan sya and hindi sya pwede maliitin. to make the long story short... sabi sa end ng show nagi na syang PR. hehehe... galing talaga ng mga pinoy. Kung malakas loob nyo magapply ng work habang tourist visa try nyo. Basta dapat legal sya. hintayin ang company na maghire sa inyo na i-apply kayo ng work visa. un lng po. 🙂

you cannot, almost every visa you need to exit AU

@catthsy - possible yan sis. nangyari sa akin 9 yrs ago had i taken the job offer matagal na ako pr jan kaya lang i didn't know any better before at bata pa ako. eto gawin mo habang nakatourist ka maghanap ka ng trabaho makinetwork ka sa mga church groups marami tutulong sayo basta un nga lang you have to attend their church service and be a member of that church. kung makakita ka magsponsor sayo baka kailangan mo magexit saglit gang ok na visa mo so apply ka ng visa sa nz dun ka muna saglit para di ka na balik ng pinas. at the same time kill two birds with one stone kung di ka makahanap employer sa oz dun ka maghanap sa nz.

@galtraveller @catthsy nowadays competition is tough, even newly PR migrant are struggling to find so if u are very lucky why not.. but take note, australia is not like SG not pwede mag walk in ..All the best! cheers!

9 yrs ago? malabo na yan ngayon, dami ng changes ginawa ng immi.

still your choice though, pero very slim to none ang chance to convert tourist to working visa.

I would bet my one month salary that this can no longer happen these days...

Negative as it may sound, it is what it is and although there might be a 5% chances of this happening, the downside risk of it not happening is very HUGE.

Yes, competition is very tough and take note a tourist visa holder is going to compete against the (1) aussies, (2) those foreigner educated in Australia and (3) the PRs.
