Online job hunt, got hired and sponsored

Magandang gabi po !

I'm just curious if anyone here got sponsored in Australia through online job hunting ? I think it is not common to be sponsored and you'd be lucky to be one. Right now, I'm thinking what if I apply for jobs (on seek.com.au) and get lucky ? I want to hear stories and somehow asses what is the probability of someone getting sponsored through online job hunt.

Ako po. Pki-check po ung signature Ko for details. Sobrang blessed po ako na meron nag sponsor sakin. Ina-apply pa lang po ung 457 visa Ko currently. Posible po na makakakita ka ng company na magsponsor sayo. Try mo lang mag-apply and mag-dasal ka palagi. 🙂

I believe most 457-visa holders went this route.

It's not really uncommon. Madami pinoys dito na 457-holders or PR na ngayon pero dating 457.

Although madami nagsasabi maghihigpit na daw ang gobyernong to sa 457 nila. Hindi ko lang alam kung gano katotoo or ano mga bago policy sa susunod na taon. Pero possibleng posible po yan sa ngayon.

Just want to add to Dr. @Nadine's comment.

Based on what I have read, if na-meet po ng employer and ng applicant ang mga sumusunod, wala na man po magiging problema and magiging successful ang 457 visa application.

The occupation that is being offered must be eligible for the subclass 457 visa program. Please check the list of eligible jobs here po - http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/_pdf/sol-schedule1-2.pdf
The sponsor is an existing company in Australia and it should provide the required requirements (check here po http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/index/visas/subclass-457/)
Salary offered must not be less than the standard market rate (AUD 51,400 at present)
Medical examination
Police clearances
Health Insurance Cover

About po sa health insurance cover, kasi po one of the requirements po eto so you have to provide a certificate or evidence na meron kana po. It could be from an AU insurance provider or from insurance provider in other countries (e.g. Pinas). Pwede po na kumuha ka ng health insurance cover from an insurance company in Pinas provided that na-meet ung health insurance requirements ng DIAC (Australian Immigration). I was advised that I should get from an insurance provider in AU to ensure that the insurance policy meets the DIAC requirements. Dito po ako kumuha ng health insurance cover http://www.austhealth.com/

Marami po mga requirements. Naka-list po lahat dun sa website na binigay ko po. Meron din po checklist ng mga requirements in PDF format.

About sa IELTS, meron certain exemptions. Andun din po eto sa website na binigay ko. Pki-read through nalang po and if ever you have further enquiries po, post ka lang po dito 🙂

@raiden14 Sir, digital marketing po ang field ko (ANZSCO 131112). And eto ung tips ko po on job hunting:

Polish your CV po muna. Make sure po na mapapansin nila eto at first glance pa lang po. Dapat maganda yong structure and maayos yong organisation ng parts po. (If you like po, I can send to you my CV for you to refer to particularly the format po)
Apply lang ng apply po. Maraming job portals or sites. At Linkedin and seek.com.au ako nag-apply.
Pag meron invitation for interview, tanggapin muna agad and schedule mo the soonest. Remember that urgent ang mga positions and pag-gusto ka nila, o-offeran ka agad.
If they ask on your expected salary (usually they will ask you before inviting you for an interview), tell them the exact amount (e.g. AUD 55K per annum). Don't worry much on this. They will not offer you below the expected market rate and they will offer you based on what your Australian counterparts are receiving. Besides, you can negotiate when they offer you the job.
Be polite, formal and professional in replying emails.
Apply ka for jobs in states in Australia where need nila ng tao, skilled workers or walang madaming competitors. In my case po, for example, although alam kong in demand po yong profession ko sa Sydney and Melbourne, nag-apply ako sa Brisbane kasi madaming competitors (British and Americans) ang nag-apply sa Sydney and Melbourne. But I did also apply for jobs in Sydney or Melbourne. Meron nag-contact and nag-invite for interviews, but hindi ako successful.

@raiden14 Sir, na send ko na po. Pki-check nalang po. On cover letter, it is very important po. Dapat meron ka po. Hindi siya requirement pero para sa akin, added point mo po un pag meron ka cover letter.

Paalala lang po. Please note lang po na iba yong CV format na hinihingi o ipapasa mo for assessment to your assessing authority. The format of the CV that I have sent po is for online job application lang po. Meron kasi standard format or requirements ang CV pag mag-papa-assess kana ng skills mo.

Halimbawa po, for online job application, walang References section. Pero during assessment, required ka na meron kang References section so dapat meron eto sa CV mo.
