Inquiry: 491/489 visa

Hello Everyone!

Good day to all.

First of all thanks God, we have received our visa grant last March 11, 2020. And we are planning to move before end of March this year.

Would like to ask to those who have 489/491visa who already travelled to Australia if what are the things needed before boardingor what are the things needed by the Immigration Officer?

Do we need to seek for certificates to owwa or poea or any government agencies?

By the way we lodge our visa application on January 19, 2020, CO Contacted us after 2 weeks for additional medical requirements, and completedall documents on February 21, 2020.

Got 70 points (55 plus 15 (for nomination)

Passport, visa at ticket lang.

Wala pa naman travel ban. Pero I am interested how they will classify 491 visa holders. Since hindi PR, is that mean if they imposed travel ban againts Pinas, 491 visa holders cannot enter AU?

I am referring to travel ban of Australia. Napanood ko message ng Australian PM last night and he concern is keeping mga tao safe and yung trabaho ng mga nandoon specially mga casual or part-time.

As the moment, the country is not yet banned in Australia, meaning we can still continue to book for our flight.

As I've said, we are planning to do it last Week of March.

Hello po sa mga nag arrive na po ng Australian under 489/491 visa, ask ko lang po ano mga inasikaso nyo pagdating ng Au?

Required din po ba tayo kumuha ng TFN and apply ng Centrelink?

All I know is we are eligble to apply for Medicare.

Question po sa 491/489 na nakakuha ng travel exemption, anu po naging grounds nyo para maapprove?

Yeah curious din. Akala ko may travel ban for non-PRs/non-citizens/non-exempted travellers. Kasi ang 489/491 is temporary visa, so unless nakakuha kayo ng "travel exemption" I doubt na papasukin ka at this time. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi everyone! Just confirming, since Au borders are open already... for visa 491 holders exiting the Philippines, no CFO/PDOS or OWWA/POEA clearances or certificates are needed at Philippine immigration? Just passport, ticket and visa grant notice?

Ambiguous kasi status ng 491, parang in-between ng work and immigrant visa!

Wala pong kailangan pag 489/491 need lang magbayad ng travel tax. Hehe.

Hello All,

Happy new year po sa lahat! Magtatanong po sana ko about 491. Sabi kc ng agent ko by January 2022 magoopen ang 491 sa NSW. Pinapapili nya ko kung anong preferred ko na region based on my job, family needs, school, proximity to Sydney, etc. Since based sya sa AU, tinanong ko kung may marerecommend sya pero ayaw nya magrecommend baka daw kc sya ang sisihin ko. hehe

Baka po meron dito may idea kung san pinaka okay na region sa NSW? My nature of work is IT - business analyst. My wife is also in the field of IT and we have a 6 yr old son. Searching naman ako sa net pero wala ko masyadong makita info about regional. Baka meron dito may idea. hehe

Hi guys. Quick question for my sis in law who's applying for 491. They're still waiting for their invitation and she just gave birth 5 days ago.. The agent is asking around 1800$ to update their eoi with their new baby as their dependent.. For me this is rediculous.. Is it really that hard of a process to update? Do you think they can raise a complaint?
