International student or skilled worker

Hi I’m from the Philippines , me and my husband are planning to go there. What are the best way to go there? If I will be a international student or my husband as a skilled worker- he is an architect in Philippines for 15 yrs.

I always discouraged those taking the student pathway without looking first if they are qualified for the skilled migrant pathway unless talagang pag aaral ipinunta mo dito. If there's no other pathway other than student, then go for it. Being a student is an expensive and takes time to PR pathway. Not mentioning kung nasa skilled occupations list pa ba ang skill mo by the time na tapos ka na mag aral and wanted to apply for PR. Kung architect ang husband mo, i guess better for him to apply for the skilled migrant visa rather than you as a student.

@janeth hindi na feasible yung student visa route ngayon.. if possible, go for skilled migration.. check out 491, 190, 189 visas.. or if your husband is lucky, maybe he could get an employer to sponsor him through 482 or better yet 186..

*For those Nurses (New AHPRA RN) who are planning to apply for 190 in South Australia*

Question po kabayan. Eligible ba ako mag apply, currently here in SA, nag apply ulit ako ng new student visa, supposedly for sponsorship na ako but due to COVID crisis na-stop ang recruitment so I applied nalang new student visa. Medyo di kasi clear sakin yung requirements ng 190 dito sa SA.

RN experience 8.5yrs (Perioperative)
30 y/o
PTE 75pts
spouse (superior in PTE)
relatives in SA ( Sister- australian citizen)
Bridging done here in SA

I agree with fgs's advice on looking at skilled migration first instead of student pathway. Is your occupation/work experience on the skilled list? If your husband will nominate Architect as his occupation, it will not be easy to get a positive assessment on AACA, especially if he doesn't have a Master of Architecture degree (that is comparable to an Australian MArch). Most archi people pursue Architectural Draftsperson, but not many states offer state sponsorship 190 visa for this occupation.
