Applied for 573 visa bsn 1 yr course + 10 weeks elicos at Flinders Uni SA svp myself at VIA CTR Makati, did not take ielts

April 24 - receipt by embassy April 25 & 30 - medical at nationwide mkt May 3 - results forwarded by nationwide to Global Health Unit Australia May 20 - enquiry reply from diac K.Aurelio saying medical clearance still not received from ghu May 23 - enquiry reply from diac K.Aurelio advising that Global Health Unit has put me on PRIORITY LIST. No request so far for any addtl docs or interview.

Inabutan po application ko ng 3 national holidays pero dib dpt 14 days lng visa 573 but its 19 days napo excluding weekends and holidays? Intake date kopsa elicos dapat may 6 then sa uni july 29 pero pinamove konpo june 11 dahilsa delay.ano po kaya meronb tlgng delay sa clearance ngmga medicals ngayon? Meron pob dto nakareceive replyfrom K. Aurelio? CO pob cia?

Pls help po at dik mkya tlga waiting ng visa decision process nila.

Yup i didnt take ielts becoz aside from working ako and no time for review. i arranged instead w/ the partner elicos provider of the university where I will have my main study. Also, thats an option as indicated in my conditional offer from my main study. I was referred dun sa english school by the uni then i took an online assessment test usually written and reading. Then after assessment i was placed on a 5weeks english study para masatisfy ko yung last condition ko sa uni at the same time though addtl expenses pa but its worth it kac mataas dn nmn need nguniversityif i will go for ielts exam. 7 in all subjects.back to zero kadn kac kaht mbaba yung ielts mo at me sariling assedsmnt yung mga elicos schools.

Though i know required ng embassy but nakaindicate sa COE nmn na packaged nga po yung pathway.but naaaaessed kn dn nmn ng elicos providercoz of issued coe so good as unmet ielts score lng cia.

Anu ung 1 year bsn course? Are u a nurse in the philippines? Or are u taking nursing here in au?

If u are studying to be a nurse eventually you will still need ielts. Im not sure if it is sound advice to actually study english in au..i always advocate for nurses to take the ielts back home, get assessed by aphra, find a bridging course which is months lng naman then apply for visa.

But that is just my opinion🙂 anyway Good luck sa visa🙂

Yup. I am an RN and working as a nurse in a hospital here in the phils. Its the university who approved me to enrol instead as an option c of their condition to satisfy the needed english proficiency via their partner english school understreamlined listing.the elicos partner assessed my english proficiency via online tests to determine my level or as far as the ielts equivalent score is required by the uni is concerned.

This is also specifically reflected in my COE for both instiutions. You are right i still have to provide for my english for aphra filingbut the course bsn is automatically accredited w/ aphra only as a student nurse. I will take it laterif i am done w/ my uni course.

Previous units taken up during my bsn localthats why they offered tome 1 yr conversion packaged with their english partner school.

You are taking a very long and expensive route. I dont know why since you have local rn experience plus a bsn degree sa pinas. All you would have needed is ielts and could have Gone direct to a brigding course provider. Ielts is only 12-13k pesos isnt it?

I reckon you went to an agency and this is the pathway they have pointed you to. This pathway will probably cost you about 1 million pesos right? Factor in cost of living in au.

But since you have started that way na... No turning back kasi it will be too expensive to do so. Anyway, good luck and hope for the best🙂

I dont have much to say as i do not believe this is the most cost efficient path for pinas rn to take.

Uu nga pero yun kac inoffer ng uni and pinagiponan nmn ng family ko for a year na. Wla akong agency. All by myself ko prinocess. Di nmn inoffer sakn yung bridging. My family are aus citizens there.yup its expensivetlga but dun na tlga ako magfocus since last yr pa. Sana magrant na. Thanks for giving your opinion.

@franz25 the uni you inquired to walang bridging program. Not all universities offer a bridging course. I had a list here in the forum pero di ko na mahanap. Anyway, good luck again🙂

Ic thats why they offered me sa conversion course. But i was informed by my former classmate recently studied in darwin uni under bsn din na iaabolish na yung bridging program next year as per uni nila.

I had no other choice din kac andun nearest sa family ko. Anyways, gudluck to me nlng dn at andian na yan. Lahat nmn cgro ng courses me loopholes. Important is u find the best possible way makakuha ng pr or working visa..

@franz25 Were the same ELICOS + B Nursing din kukunin ko pero sa Univ of Newcastle under 573. Nag lodge ako ng application last April pero sa October pa intake ko. So I am still waiting for the visa although im sure hindi ako priority ng DIAC kasi matagal pa commencement ko. I wanted to take bridging course since less expensive yun kaso hindi ino-offer sa Newcastle at yun lang ang nearest univ sa relatives ko in australia. No choice din like you.
