For Accountants - how long did it take you to get a job?

Sa sydney ako so di ko alam kung effective sa Darwin, but what I did was, in addition to applying via Seek/Indeed, I sent Linkedin messages to the recruiters here stating my experiences and asking if they know any relevant opportunities. The company who offered me a job was a client of a friend of one of the recruiters I messaged via Linkedin. Malaking factor talaga networking and connections dito. 🙂 Goodluck !

For odd jobs, normal ang walk-in. for Professional or office jobs-nope.

Makakahanap pa rin po ba ako ng trabaho related to acctg field kahit na wala akong CPA LICENCE?

@JCPM03 hindi nirerecognize ang Philipines CPA license dito. as for accounting-related job, its not impossible to get one as long as you have the experience they are looking for.

@JCPM03 immigrants here irrespective of their profession have a hard time getting job in line with their work experience, how much more one without one. For you to be at par with Aussie jobseekers, you either have the experience or the Aussie education to jumpstart your career. At kung wala ka man lang ni isa dun, how can you compete with the tight competition here especially accounting-related jobs. Odd jobs are not bad actually coz they can pay the essentials, however, if you want a career in accounting, you need to upgrade or have at least the experience.

@crizzy if your looking for a job in AU while overseas, slim chances. most of us here applied for permanent visa in order to live and work in AU. First thing mag take ka ng English test. tapos pa assess mo ang employment mo at bachelor degree, if assessment is positive pede kana apply sa portal nila ng expression of interest.

Hello, ask ko LNG Kung may nag try na magenroll sa accounting training or internship sa seed accounting group or platinum acctng? I'm looking for other option to gain experience until now di Parin ako successful in finding acctng job

@janine0511 as long as you get the local experience go for it. I think it really boils down to three things:

a. How you present yourself in resume and cover letter

b. How you communicate during interviews (so essential)

c. Your past experience as an added value to the organization (do not neglect this, just because its not Aussie experience)
