@islanderndcity currently on his 6th week plng naman. Sa case nya parang napansin cv nya on his second week ata eh o third week ata yun. Parang first two weeks wala tlga tumatawag. Though nung start ng financial year dumami naman tumawag. Hirap lng sa oz kc dapat nagffit ka tlga sa hinahanap nila eh. Cgro if pwede ka magleave ng one to two months for job huntingmas ok cgro hehe ano po b work nyo?

@kremitz IE. Nako mahirap 1 to 2 months leave dito. Actually, 3 weeks lang ang nasabi ko ni amo. Pero yun nga, sana mapansin ng employers within 3 weeks sa SA soon. Sabi nga ng wife ko, baka mas practical daw na hindi lang muna pupunta dyan for 3 weeks lang. Punta diyan for good na talaga. Nakakalito :-S

One good technique din is list down your target companies/ industries and/or search via google. Go to their career section then submit resume.

Cold calling.

Look for jobs in Seek, usually it was also posted in Linkedin. Find the person who posted the job, invite him/her to be your connections and then send private message. If you knew someone na connected din sa nagpost then you can ask for introduction.

There's no harm in trying to apply for jobs, while still overseas..

Pero napansin ko, karamihan ng na-hhire from overseas medyo sa mga specialized work, for example internal auditors where meron pina-follow na standard practices in accounting.. lalo na kung Big 4 company galing.. so plug-and-play sila kahit saang industry kahit saang bansa.. no need na nang face-to-face interviews or onshore sa Oz to be hired..

Yup audit firms usually sponsored candidates o'seas whether its from Canada/US/UK/Aus/Cayman/Jamaica/etc. kasi halos parehas lang naman yan following global and few locals standards and practices. Tsaka usually kasi, mid career accountants prefer na to work in private kesa audit firms. Kaya its a good stepping stone talaga. Though, competition din now is really tough talaga.
