Medicare Contribution Exemption (489 visa)

Alam kong may nagtanong na nito dati kaso di ko makita yung thread. Paano maeensure na hindi makakaltasan ng Medicare contribution kapag 489 visa holder? Since hindi naman entitled to Medicare, nabasa ko dati na hindi rin kailangan magcontribute ang 489 visa holders. May form ba na kailangan isubmit kapag magffile na ng income tax?

Afaik, when working part ng computation ng tax deduction ang medicare levy. However pagdating na ng filing of income tax returns, since everything will be computed based on taxable income saka na ilalagay ang mga items that would reduce you tax payment which includes medicare levy. Pag sumobra ang deductions against total tax, then you get tax refunds.

You need to get that as support if in case I audit ka ni ATO. Just send thru e mail the form and the visa and passport.

Less hassle on your part. Just like getting agent for visa.

But if hindi complicated sources of income mo. Straight forward lang like one employer. U can don't yourself. Message moko mate if u have questions. I can give suggestions. Or I ask some people in the office if di kaya ng alam ko. No cost 😉.
