Allow me to share our journey—3 long years of preparation and anticipation, filled with excitement, anxiety, frustration, and hope. But as they say, good things come to those who wait.
Yesterday, exactly 20 months after submitting our visa application, we received the best news ever!

July 27 – Consulted with a Migration Agent
August 31 – Decided to proceed with the application
September 6 – Began collating requirements for ACS
October 5 – Completed all ACS documents; started reviewing and practicing for PTE
November 4 – Submitted ACS assessment request
December 20 – Passed the PTE English examination
•2023•
March 1 – Received ACS assessment; my partner (now husband) was assessed as Bachelor’s Degree, I was tagged as Associate Degree, we opted to appeal
March 13 – Submitted appeal to ACS
March 17 – Submitted EOI for 189 visa
March 20 – Submitted EOI for 190 visa (partner as primary applicant)
April 18 – Received invite for Victoria Nomination
April 20 – Submitted application for Victorian Nomination
April 21 – Received ITA for VIC 190 and started collecting documents for Visa Application
June 1 – ACS appeal approved with a positive result and appeal payment refunded
June 13 – Lodged SC 190 visa application (Primary and De Facto)
June 22 – Completed Medical Examination
July 14 – Submitted NBI Police Clearance
September 30 - We got married 💒

February 6 - Informed DHA about our marriage and submitted Notification of changes in circumstances

January 20 – Received S56 request to update police clearance (NBI) and redo medical
January 23 – Completed medical examination
February 6 – Submitted updated NBI clearance and S56 response
February 13 - Visa Granted! 🎉🎉🎉
