Hello po! Is it possible to get a job in Australia even before your first entry as a 190 visa holder?
I found some vlogs that said they had to fly in first to attend interviews, get their TFN, etc; while there were a few who were able to find jobs even before they had their big move. My line of work is business analysis/consulting and we plan to go to Sydney. Just checking po if others had experience on this especially now that perhaps most of the application processes are online.
It depends on the industry and company. Many Aussie companies prefer to hire those with "local" experience (meaning work exp in Australia), while others don't mind if you don't have local experience. Are those vlogs you've seen highly related to your industry?
As far as I know, you can only apply for your TFN when you get onshore, as your TFN will be sent to you via post within 28 days (they don't send it via email). As for interviews, some companies may be flexible with doing online interviews instead of in-person, but this really depends on the hiring process of the company. Give it a go though; try applying even from offshore, and if you get asked when are you arriving in Australia, you can tell them your timeline and see if they're okay with that. May mga companies kasi na urgently hiring, so they might want to hire someone already onshore, whereas others may allow you to start at a later date.
