Need your help and suggestions Initial Entry

Plan namen initial entry this july na pero undecided pa kame kung saan sa australia, wala kasi kame kakilala kaya plan namen maghotel pero sobrang mahal ng mga nakikita namen online. 2 to 3 days lang nman kame para lang tlaga masatisfy ung IED. Any suggestions? thanks!

Kung initial entry lang naman sa sydney ka na dumiretso ... maraming mapapasyalan at madali ang transportation ... for cheap hotels google ibis or backpackers??

okay ang train from airport to the city..

check for 2/3 star hotel na mura.. hindi ksi pwede ang bata sa mga backpackers/hostel..

Sa mga nakapag initial entry na, ano po ang kailang naming dalin na documents for our initial entry, tama na po ba yung Visa Grant letter? any other documents na kailangan naming dalin?

Note: All migrants are required to make their initial entry to Australia within the validity of their medicals and police clearances and there are NO exceptions to this whatsoever.

@legato09 - yup.. sa AU airport immigration, just your passport, ma check naman nila ung visa nyo online..

you need to bring your visa grant, sa pag open ng bank account, register sa medicare etc..

Thanks @Bossing Lock_Code2004 ;-) I am doing my assignments now hehehe basa basa din pag may time.

Nag try ako sa Vevo ;-), and SGD$90++ ang visa label.

In 5days, kaya po ba mag open na ng medicare and bank account? kasi wala naman po kami talaga gagawin during our initial entry, 8 days po kami, buong weekdays nag iisip po kami ng puede namin gawin like registering, opening, this and that and etc.

@legato09 - yes you can do that in one hour... punta ka sa mall na bank and/or malapit medicare office..

open bank account first, kasi kailangan mo yan sa pag register sa medicare..

pasyal pasyal kayo marami nmn pwede gawin..

@Bossing thanks sa tips, gawin na namin yung puede namin gawin then saka pasyal.

Kasi po yung kaibigan namin weekend lang free, so that whole weekdays hehehehe kami lang ng Sinisinta/Crush ko ang bahala sa buhay namin heheheh.

Try mo open ng account ngayon pa lang... Para when you arrive in Australia, pwede mo na makuha ang debit card mo. 🙂

And yeah, make the most sa initial entry kasi tourist pa mentality ninyo eh; when you come back for good, there is the pressure na to find work kaya baka di kayo maka enjoy by then...

@TasBurrfoot thanks for the tips, so online puede ako mag open ng account then maaactivate lang upon pickup nang card or, ma-approved sya and activated outright? Puede na din sya transferran ng $$$?

Nililista ko na ang mga gagawin during the initial entry ;-) after visa grant medyo naging dormant eh at naging busy sa work.

Yep, you can transfer money into it if you want...

That is what we did, transferred all out ipon to Australia as interest rates are higher here. Should work favorable for you as 1 AUD is around 1.15 SGD nalang ata.

NAB at CBA ko walang maintaining... Having said this, it varies per bank if meron man.

Hi all,

So nakapag Initial Entry na kame last July 2013 (189 visa) and we stayed for just a few days lang sa Sydney as in pasyal lang talaga hindi kame nag register or apply ng bank account etc. Right now wala kame sa Pilipinas ng family ko since September 2013 and we will be back sa pinas next September 2014 pa. Then ang plan kasi is mauuna ko sa Oz by November 2014 then by January 2015 susunod yung wife and daughter ko.

Questions:

1)Wala ba ko dapat ipresent na ibang documents kung matagal ako bumalik sa australia (and sa Pinas)? Wala ba magiging problem pag ganito?

2) atleast ilang months valid ang passport para makapag travel to australia? malapit na din kasi ma expire ang passport ng wife ko kung by 2015 sya lilipad to Oz less than a year na lang valid.
