Have you guys heard of Airtasker?
Not sure how popular it is in other states/cities, but I think in Sydney and Melbourne it's pretty popular. It's a website that allows people to post random tasks/jobs up for bidding, then you can bid on them. Usually they're one-off tasks/jobs like cleaning, moving/delivery, handyman tasks, admin/secretarial tasks, web design, etc. Wide range kumbaga, and I suppose you can think of them as odd jobs. You can either post tasks or bid on them. I've used it so far, three jobs na napa-bid ko (furniture assembly, handyman task, and delivery of furniture) and the people who bid are super efficient and professional in all their dealings. Di sya magiging regular source of income ninyo, but it depends kung gaano kayo kasipag. Like one of the guys I hired, on that same week he made more than $1000 just assembling furniture for people, he was on a working holiday visa from Europe.
If you're doubting how safe it is to bid or assign jobs, Airtasker lets you see reviews/ratings ng people who have already done tasks, so you can tell if the person is legit. But of course, use your common sense, if let's say a task/bidder sounds fishy then trust your gut feel!
The only thing I guess is that if you take jobs from Airtasker you probably can't put them on your resume, but it lets you earn to pay some bills!

not bad, to pay some bills. thanks @cholle
