Who told you that? Hahaha.... operations shutdown pag last two weeks of December until first week of January. This is true to most, pag permanent of course may freedom to take longer leave pag contract e usually "it's a must".
So technically speaking between mid December to mid January wala masyadong ginagawa.
Workwise dapat ingat sa mga months na December, January, June and July these are critical months specially for contractors pag inabutan ka na walang work or natapos ang contract yari na. Pag permanent naman e sana wag matanggal during those months.
December - January due to holidays
June - July due to budget approval and allocation dahil palit ng financial year
