From my experience, a migration agent can sometimes give you negative feedback and say you are not eligible to apply. But it is clearly stated on the occupation list that my skills are eligible. I think case to case sila, pag makita ng migration agent na kabisado na nila yung skills ng applicant then they go for it but if they are unfamiliar they will turn you down. But I was persistent and read a lot so I can explore my options.

So it will be best if you read everything that is required of you. Given that, I don't think you will be needing a migration agent anymore. If you have questions about your application with ACT just shoot the Canberra Team an email and from my experience they reply immediately.

This forum is also helpful, lalo na si akino kahit dami ko tanong sinasagot niya 🙂 SS route nga pala ako Visa 190. Still waiting for a response from my case officer. Help me Lord!

@bellapangilinan, sa engg firm ako work..ok nmn d2 sa canberra laid back ang lifestyle d2,wlang traffic and malamig ang weather..try to check this website www.visitcanberra.com.au ..racism is everywhere nman khit sa pinas talamak, it's how you deal with it, if meron man you can just ignore them or fight back..lol...so far wla pa nmn kmi experience na ganon d2, friendly nmn cla sa amin.. =)

May question if my husband is not practicing his profession (graduated Doctor of Optometry, non board passer) what will be the effect with my SS application. He's in the business over the past 10yrs. One more thing after my assessment with APharmC and cleared the IELTS(acedamic module), I can proceed to lodge my application either for SS or EOI, or take the KAPS exam(bridging program) qualifying exam for overseas pharmacists and a requirement for registration in Aus Board of Pharmacy, para pag dating ko dun intern na ako which is pre-requisite for registration. My question is, saan ako mag start? Naguguluhan ko kasi, my friend told me na I can't lodge my application if I wouldn't pass the KAPS exam first. Ang alam ko naman pwede na ako mag apply for SS or EOI pag pasadao na ako sa Assessment with APhramC. I've been browsing the DIAC website for almost a week, but I didn't find any answers to my question. Any advise from you guys will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

@akino. ask ko lang bro. meron po bang ma hire na family van sa airport? kasi nana 8 pcs yun checked-in baggage namin and 4 person. di kasya sa ordinary na taxi.

qantas yun sakyan namin from sydneyto canberra. strikto ba sila sa weight (max 23Kg) at measurement (max 140cm) ng checked baggage?

pansamanatala, balak ko muna kumuha ng prepaid cards for me saka sa wife ko. meron ako nakikita na free calls/txt to same network. gusto ko lang malaman kun alin provider ang maganda. any recommendation?

@ronaldo09, pre meron din malalaki na taxi d2 like van, dami waiting sa airport..but in case na walang van pede ka magrequest ng bigger cab..try to check this website

same din nmn ung policy nila sa baggages..8 baggages kayo, ilang kilos each?..di nmn kayo lagpas sa allowable?..

maraming network provider d2, ang gamit kc nmin vodafone since nung dumating kmi d2, ok din nmn oo may mga free calls and text pag same network..di ko pa na try ung ibang network d2...$2 lang ang prepaid sim ng vodafone..

one of the SS req for ACT is dapat relevant yung industries sa working experience mo sa ACT industry. Ano po ba yung mga industries ng ACT?

@gmad06 - Sa call center ako pero i work as helpdesk both local & foreign offices nmin. May nka-specify nmn dun sa site nila kng ano yng hindi qualified db? Anong industry ka?

I dont know kung 0 transaction fee ang St. George but if you are going to buy a property someday they are one of the best for home loans

May question po ako sa requirement sa Work Experience na part. Yung employement reference, pano po yun pinapasa? may format po ba? Thank you.

 Work Experience.

o Attach evidence that you have recent, relevant work experience in the nominated occupation. The length of work experience is not mandated but it must be clear that you have enough experience in your nominated occupation to be employable in Canberra.

o Attach your Curriculum Vitae (CV) which clearly states personal details, educational qualifications and work experience.

 Your work experience must be in an industry relevant to the ACT economy. Experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, production, international airlines, mining; shipping, oil, head office banking and railways are not generally considered relevant industries.

o Attach current employment reference(s) supporting recent, relevant work experience in the nominated occupation.
