@atchino kahit naka silkair ako from pinas > sg then sia from sg > sydney di rin kami makakatanggap ng voucher 🙁 kawawa naman si pinas di kasali.

If Singapore Airline, dadaan ka ng Singapore...

If Qantas naman, dadaan ka either sa Sydney or Melbourne...

Nakapagpabook po kami for feb 21 adelaide bound sa qantas with free additional 10kgs each for adult. Umabot kami ng 49k+. Its a connecting flight via Sydney. We are a family of 3- 2 adults, 1 infant.

@angelwheng two way ba yan? mura ah. buti nagbbgay sila additional luggage allowance, SQ kse max na 30kg (included na daw dun yun migrant baggage allowance).

@manofsteel one way lang po pero 3 na kami dyan..30kg lang po yung regular baggage allowance ng qantas pero nagrequest ako ng additional, kaya naging tig 40kgs kami ni hubby at 10 kg kay baby plus hand carry pa na tig 7 kami ni hubby tapos may free items na pwede icheck-in si baby like stroller. Sa qantas po pwede magrequest pag 1st time migrants ng additional baggage. Mageemail lang po ng request along with visa, passport and e-ticket.

@bookworm @manofsteel @angelwheng - I have been monitoring price tickets in various websites, 3rd party (Kayak, Skyscanner, etc) at yung airline sites mismo; I also did an email alert for price changes..

Malaysia Airlines thru Kayak/SkyScanner and Qantas thru their website ang mga pinakamurang flights to Sydney / Melbourne from Manila / HongKong / ShangHai. Di muna kami mag MU so we are leaning towards Qantas. Mas mura pa ng konti ang Qantas sa std price ng Cebu actually (to Sydney).

Di kami Manila manggaling pero consistent na mura sa website ng Qantas magbook but for other airlines try using Kayak or Skyscanner.

I mentioned the PAL thing kasi you can only avail of the 50% thing if you go there this weekend, I think. It cannot be done online. So it might be an option for those In PH next week.

I agree with @rareking na mura ang qantas compare with other airlines. Yun nga lang abangan talaga ung mga nakasale na seats. Hindi ko nga lang naabutan ung 14K pesos na deal kaya yung 15120 per head na ung nai-book namin..tska mas malaki kasi ang baggage allowance ng qantas compared sa PAL or cebu pacific. Un din ang isa kong habol aside sa qantas lang yung may direct booking manila-adelaide aside from sg air..

ang downside lang ng qantas, online booking is online reservation, and then you have to pay for it separately. But other than that, am ok with them.

@bookworm hindi na po ganun sir..no need na pumunta pa sa office nila to have your card verified. recently lang po ata nila yun naimplement kasi since nagrant ang visa namin last sept nagtitingin tingin na kami ng fares, before nga may lumalabas na pop-up na need pumunta sa office nila para maverify yung card pero last monday (nov. 11) na nagpabook ako nagulat din ako na wala na yung notification na yun. I even called their office to ask. No need na raw po. 🙂

Ask lang ako about Travel Tax. Is the booth for Travel Tax at NAIA 3 always open or they have a schedule only?
