This is taken from ECU (Edith Cowan University). Mahal sya since university and recognized ni Engineers Australia ang degree after completion. And masters degree po eto. Pero napakamahal talaga ng education for international students sa Australia. Almost doubled the cost for domestic students. If sa colleges ka mag aaral, lower ang cost pero apakamahal pa rin :smiley:

Mahal talaga ang SV if PR ang habol mo, kasi maglalabas ka ng pera for tuition fees and living expenses, visa processing, plus yung graduate visa stuff. Matagal din siya kasi kailangan mo ng 2+ years of time to finish the studies to be eligible for GSM points and graduate visa (if eligible yung course mo). The tuition fee will depend on which course/school; you'll notice the cost difference if you've done your due diligence/research.

Madami daw SV refusals ngayon? Around 80% daw. Totoo ba? Kinakabahan kasi yung friend ko, wala pa result yung visa application nya

Depende po yan; kung hindi related sa IT yung aaralin sa AU, medyo magdududa na sila bakit non-IT. Pwede mo naman sya idefend sa GTE mo. Ang premise kasi ng student visa, pagkatapos ng pag-aaral mo sa AU, babalik ka sa home country. So magrerequest din sila ng evidence of ties to home country. Pag wala silang makitang ganun, mataas ang chance na irereject yung student visa.

+1 dito. If hindi related sa pinag-aralan sa Pinas dapat madefend mo siya sa GTE mo pero not sure bago yata now GST na. Depende din sa school if they will require sa english proficiency and show money. Minsan ang agent, they will advise na mag masters, especially if nasa 30's na. Good thing naman siya kase may points sa PR. Medjo kamahalan lang talaga kaya weigh your choices.

If hindi mo naman bet yong course mo, pwedi naman mag shift course dito pero after 6 months pa yata. Especially, if na experience mo na ang life dito at mag change of hearts kong ano ang beneficial for you. Mga classmates ko before sa IT dito nagshift to carpentry, social work, aged care kase malaki potential for PR and di din talaga sila makahanap ng work na related sa IT dito given sa restrictions ng students. Dapat din strong ang home ties kase mostly yan yong ground for refusals if weak ang home ties.

Required po ba umattend ng orientation? Wala pa po kasing result and visa application ko. Sa October 30 na po ang intake.

As far as I can remember, all of my family members who applied for SV and had the same situation as you, attended the orientation even without the SV application result.
