491 NSW (RDA)

Hi everyone,

We recently filed our EOI for 190 NSW and 491 SA. We know that the FY is already closing and the next round of invitations might happen around August based on previous year. We are still hoping that we can get invited atleast for SA but it seems they are already slowing down their invitations. With this, our agent advised us if we are open to consider regional NSW (the only open are Far Coast, Far West, and Northern Rivers). Do you have any insights on these RDAs when it comes to job opportunities? If it helps, our field is in Supply Chain and Logistics.

Hello, we received our 491 NSW ITA (via RDA Illawara state nomination) last March 17, and we have already lodged our visa last May 05. During our time all the RDAs were still open and I honestly didn't know where to start on choosing/deciding the best /ideal RDA (location) for our occupations. What I did was check some job portals and websites in AU to gauge if there is indeed a demand on our profession in that particular region, I remember hearing Hunter and Illawara all the time so I started with these 2 regions. When I saw Illawara I immediately fell in love with the place. After that, I also took into consideration the actual living conditions there (i.e rent, ambiance, weather, shops/stores, leisure, schools , proximity to Sydney or CBD etc) because it is also imperative for me and my Husband to actually "want" to live, work and enjoy our new "home" for at least 4-5 years. 🙂

Does your occupation fall under Pathway 2?If so, you can wait and see if you can still get an invitation for 491 without applying to a specific RDA. You can also check job portals to see if there are openings related to your field in these regions.

upon searching sa mga jobsites, mostly ng mga logistic jobs na lumalabas ay nsa NSW or 491 NSW.
