Hi all!

Im a newbie here and I was encouraged to post inquiry coz ang dami kong nbabasang mga helpful tips from you guys.

I want to get advice sna about my EA Application. Ang narequest ko kc is Standard Assessment lng. Nareceive ko ung EA assessment letter stating that my qualification is comparable to AU. Then I've learned na need ko pla ng Additional Services kung gusto ko mag-claim ng points sa DIAC regarding working experiences.

1) How long ang turnaround time pag magpa-additional assessment ako? ANyone experienced it before?

2) Ang kailangan ko lng ba pra mkapag-claim ng points for EOI eh ung letter ng EA regarding qualification and work experiences? Un na rin gagamitin ko sa Visa Application?

3) After ko mareceive ung assessment letter from EA stating ung qualification and work experience, may aantayin pba akong another letter from EA stating they acknowledge me as Prof Engr or isang letter lng binibigay nila? Then mag-apply pko ng membership sa EA pra marecognized as Prof engr?

Hope anyone in the forum can advice me. Thanks in advance!

Hi @peterpan07, medyo pareho ang situation natin. I received a positive assessment letter from EA last June. Then I realized na I need to have my skills assessed to claim points from DIAC. What I did was I submitted an application for my relevant work experience last Sept. 4 and had a positive result naman last Sept. 16. Medyo mabilis sya kasi I asked EA to send the result letter to my friend in AU. During my CDR application kasi, EA sent to me directly (sa Cebu) the outcome letter, ang problema hindi nakarating ang letter. Hinintay ko until June bago ako nag email sa EA, yun pala they send to me the CDR outcome letter April pa and for whatever reason hindi ko narecieve (<i>I asked philpost about and wala daw sila idea</i>). I have been busy during July and August so sa September na ako nakapag submit ng requirements for the assesment of my Work Experience.

So going back to your questions:

Q1: Two weeks and turn around time yung sa akin (take note, I had the outcome letter delivered in AU para madali kong malaman ang result, that way I can submit my EOI agad).

Q2: I have not applied for visa yet (EOI pa), but I believe kailangan yun (so i need to have my friend send the letter to me by post, DHL siguro para hassle free).

Q3: In my case, I only received a skills assessment letter. Its basically the same as that of the CDR outcome letter, ang difference lang was on the last paragraph it was stated that you have a qualified work experience (nakalagay ang dates of your relevant work experience). It goes like this:

<i>Your claims of skilled work experience have been assessed by Engineers Australia in support of the assessment outcome provided as: Total number of work experience: Date to Date</i>

@RichardQ thanks sa response! I actually called EA yesterday to tell my concern then ganun na ang instruction saken. Magfill-up ako ng form for additional assessment then ibalik ko sa knila ung original letter nila. Nareceive ko ung positive result last Aug 5 and I thought kasi na meron pa akong ibang inaantay na letter, un na pla ung ggmitin ko pra mkapag-apply ng EOI.

Late ko na na-realized kulang pla ung assessment ko.

Thanks sa info about turnaround time. So 2 weeks pla. Not bad. I thought abutin ng 1 month. Wala nba hiningi sayo na mga additional working experience documents?

Naipadala ko na ung requirements nila this morning thru fedex. SInce andito ako sa SG, nde ko nmn na-encounter ung slow mail system kgaya saten. Maganda tlga if courier at my tracking system and its good you have a friend in AU.

No additional requirements naman. They asked lang for the Employment Certification from my current employer. It so happen kasi that my six years of experience na gusto ko ipa asses is from my current employer lang. As usual, doon sa employment certificate naka state doon as what was prescribes sa booklet (e.g. Job description/responsibilities, position, etc.). I find it weird kasi I already submitted this same document during my CDR application, pero yun ang sabi nila so sinunod ko na lang...:-)

In my case, since hindi ko na receive ang CDR outcome letter ko, I have to provide a Statutory Declaration on why I wasn't able to provide the original copy of it.

Mga sir...ask ko lang din if you dont mind... :-) medyo naguguluhan kasi ako, so for Additional Assessment for the work experience nag submit pa kayo ng bagong copies ng certificate of employment with roles and responsibilities? bale 2 copies yung sinend nyo sa EA, pang standard assessment and pang work experience?

@nikah13 - if i may answer... nope.. isang set lang ng docs ang isusubmit mo..

isa lang nmn ang assessing officer nyan, sya na pareho mag assess nun..

Hi @nikah13 nope, same lng mga documents mo but you have to fill up the Standard Assessment form plus ung Additional Assessment form. Magkaiba kc cla ng fee.

If nde kpa nagsubmit kay EA, make sure na standard plus addtnl assessment form ang isusubmit mo. Total fee is 600 + 250 AUD (if you are outside Oz).

Sa case ko kc nahuli ko na-irequest ung Additional assessment (this is for EA to include your work experience). So tumawag ako ky EA, sabi nila fill-up ko lng ung additional assessment form plus ung fee.

If complete nmn ung documents mo for them to assess ung work experiences mo, ok na un.

good evening po sa nyong lahat.ask ko lng po sana, need po ba tlga mga comply nung additional assestment form?how about if ung staANdArd assestment form lng e submit ko,ano mngyari sa application ko?if ang work experience mo is inline with your nominated occupation,need ba tlga to assest our work experience?

@chu_se ung standard assessment means mgaadvise c EA if ung school mo comparable sa AU. pg positive assessment, nkalagay sa letter na pde k mgclaim ng points and if bachelor degree standing mo. Ung sa additional assessment, magaadvise c EA if ilang years ang iqualify nya as related sa nominated occupation mo in order to claim migration points. So if need mo mgkascore sa working experience mo for migration purposes, need mo kumuha ng addntl assessment. Hope its clear 😃

I applied for standard assessment and no additional assessment for my experience.

I recieved the letter from EA that my qualification is comparable to that of a Civil Engineer. Then I submitted the same letter when I lodge... I got points for my qualification and experience without getting Additional Assessment Services regarding overseas work experiences.

My experience only...

@FlightOz pde din pla un? 😃 nde ba risky? na bka biglang hanapin ni CO ung proof of assessment from EA.. but well anyway sa CO nmn ang last say.. 😃

@peterpan07 Pwede po na walan additional assessment.. But it will be a big risk if for example you want to claim 15pts for educ tpos di ka nmn sure kung equivalent to AU degree ba ang phil degree mo..

But if you are just claiming the min 10pts, and kung sure ka nmn at ang job title mo eh same sa anzsco code, eh pwde wala ng addl assessment service..

@lock_code2004 I agree. Nung ngpa-additional assessment kc ako -after ko na mareceive ung outcome assessment letter - I have to confirm I have not yet applied to DIAC. Sa website kc ni EA my nkalagay "Clients who already hold an assessment outcome - and have NOT yet applied to DIAC - may seek the additional assessment services as above." So I assume they may not entertain if nkapaglodge kna at nkapagclaim kna ng points ...as the DIAC officer suppose to do the evaluation na...

Hi po sa lahat,

Regarding po sa additional assessment. Misis ko na po ang nagpapa assess last December 13, 2013 sya nagpasa. Nakuha ko na yung sa akin kaso nabawasan ako ng pts due to age.

Papano po if wala pang result ng EA , standard Assessment kasi ang pinasa namin.. Same pa din po ba yung form na gagamitin yung CDR assessment form or yung isa na form na may nakalagay na "MIGRATION SKILLS ASSESSMENT PAYMENT OF STANDARD ADMINISTRATION FEE.

Magiging 65 pts kami if makekeclaim nya ang maximum na pts sa employment. Malaking risk kasi if ilagay namin yung 3 years experience nya na hinid kami sigurado.
If pangalawang form ang gagamitin , alin don ang ititick, how much.

Tanong lang po,

pwede po ba mag apply ng additional assestment while on process po yung CDR assestment? mas matagal po ba eto kung sabay ko silang isa submit?

is it 19 weeks plus 2 weeks add. assestment?

Meron po kasi akong inaantay na isang COE na makukuha ko sa july pa.

ita try ko sana ihabol yun while on process ang CDR assestment ko. pwede po kaya yun?

@Electrical_Engr_CDR - kung july pa, medyo matagal pa un.. sayang ang 4 weeks..

i think may nakagawa na nito..

once you have your EA reference number.. email them on how you can have additional assessment..

@Electrical_Engr_CDR ; nagawa na namin to, yung misis ko nag pahabol ng additional assessment, Sinend lang namin ulit yung standard form naka ticked yung charge sa additional charges. Malalaman mo na lang pag nacharged na sa CC mo yung payment. 😃
