Pag wala kang licence from Pinas at pag kumuha ka ng licence dito sa Au at nakapasa ka sa exam e ang ibibigay sau "L" plate or learner which means kelangan mo ng kasama (yung kasama mo kelangan full licence na. or Class C) pag nag ddrive. At hindi pwedeng uminom ang driver pati yung kasama. Speed is limited to 80kph lang.

Correct. ( I assume nasa NSW ka).

3 months after PR, you must change your Phil Drivers Licence to NSW Drivers Licence.

Your PR status will start after your first entry (arrival) in Au if you apply offshore.

Brod ang pag convert (or pagpalit) ng Phil Licence to Au licence ay hindi madali.

As far as I remember, 3 exams ang kelangan mo ipasa

1.) Eyesight test

2.) Theory exam

3.) Actual driving test.

Dept of Transport website (DOT) will give you more details.

Kung PR ka pumasok ng Au (first time), you have 3 months to change Phil licence to Au licence.

I suggest na kung bago ka pa lang sa Au, mag drive ka ng mag drive to familiarize road conditions, road signs, routes etc.

Plan your schedule kung kelan ka na pwede magpapalit kasi 3 months lang at kelangan mo na mag pa palit ng lisensya.

One more thing, taking a driving lesson is highly recommended.

Another thing, kuha ka muna p're ng Proof of Age Card habang Phil Licence gamit mo para me record ang DOT about sa identity mo.

Nangyari sa akin na pinakuha muna ako ng Proof of Age card ($25 fee) bago na convert ang NSW licence ko sa WA.

before 3 months pre at kelangan mo mag pa schedule.

pwede din na hindi mo papalitan after 3months, pero ingat ka at baka mahuli ka ng pulis or ma involve ka sa aksidente.

tsaka some employers require you to have WA licence bago nila i consider ang employment lalo na pag field work ang inaaplyan mo (service/maintenance, courier etc.)

Perth ka di ba? DOT office ka pumunta at meron silang enquiry section, punta ka sa section na yun at tanong ka about proof of age card.

di ko lang maalala pero parang hiningan ako ng mga proof of identification (passport), mailing address (bank statements or credit card statements or medicare letter na me address).

*uhm, if magpapa sched ako, mga kailan kaya un? i mean, if magpa-sched ako bukas, kailan ung exam at ung practical driving test?also, kung lapse na ung 3 months pero may sched na ako ng exams pero na-lapse na nga ung 3 months...is it still okay for me to drive using my PHL DL? :-)

ang schedule depende sa mga mag eexam kung madami e baka after 3months ka pa ma sked so the sooner the better.

wag mo na paabutin sa lapse brod at baka kung ano pa ma encounter mo sa kalsada.

Anyone knows what is the process kung hindi mo ma pa convert within 3 months? I am working kase right now and having a drivers' license is not an immediate priority.

I have been driving sa Pinas for 15 years na. Yun lang yung bad habits ng Pinoy driver dala ko. Dami ako kilala na nahirapang pumasa sa actual driving exam if matagal na ng drive sa Pinas. Kaya highly recommended talaga na mg driving lessons kahit ilang hours lang.

@ten2six, if nde mo maconvert in 3mos, you need to get the L licence to drive because lapse na ung validity period kahit valid pa ung PH DL mo.

After passing the knowledge test, they will ask if you want to get an L licence or instead get a full licence after passing the actual driving test. General rule is, they will not cancel your PH licence basta nde pa tapos ung 3 mos, or 6 mos if its VIC. Of course, mas matipid ung getting a full after passing. But in my case, I paid for the L licence so I can have a valid AU ID.

I suggest after passing the knowledge test, book an actual driving test within the three-month period. If nde kaya, wala naman problema, nde ka lang makakapagdrive mag-isa under the L licence without a full licence accompanying you on the road. Anytime you can convert naman after the 3-month period. They will ask for your overseas licence naman before they will issue the appropriate licence after passing the actual. Also, they will cancel your L licence if you took one before.

Thank you very much. That's exactly the information that I am looking for. I won't be pressured to get the license within 3 months kase anytime pala na mapasa ko ang actual driving test full license na. But I need to do it before February next year kase mag e expire na Philippine license ko. He he he.
