3 weeks ka pa lang dont worry.. usually if you apply for a fresh job in seek expect they'll reply after mga 3 weeks dahil syempre meron silang submission deadline then shortlisiting.

@bluemist Yung interview na to they asked for my skype id, pero I did bought an australian number sa skype and nakareceive na ko tawag from a recruiter from that number so I guess sulit na rin. Yung binili ko sa skype is for 3 months $15. Thanks!

looks like the economy in general is slowing down....ung manager ko sa SG nag migrate dn dto but sa Queensland nman cla, he'd been here 6 months pero wala pa syang work. Also from the past 3 months, nag su submit sya ng 3 applications on the average per day pero wala daw tumatawag sa kanya for interview. Dun sa company na pinapasukan ko, nag retrenched ng 25 people last week lang and ganito pala retrenchment dto basta bigay ng papel ng HR then bye-bye and those laid off were just given 30 minutes to clean up their desk ndi man lang bnigyan ng chance na makapag say ng proper goodbye sa mga naiwan. Then, ung colleague ko ung husband nya is IT in Monash, mag re retrench dn daw ang Monash ng 100+ people but still ongoing negotiation pa medyo kabado sya kc kakabili lang nila ng bahay then baka makasama sa tanggalan ung husband nya. Then just heard from the news na mag la laid off dn ang Qantas from their maintenance facility sa Avalon airport 300+ job yata ang affected...so dun sa mga may work be thankful at paghusayan natin. Sa mga wala pa at naghahanap pa lang tyaga tyaga. 🙂

Okey na ito, back in my company sa Singapore before it goes something like tatawagin ka and sasabihin sa iyo na na retrench ka and you will be escorted downstairs by your director. That same director will pack up your stuffs for you and ipadala nalang sa bahay mo he following day.

The sooner you are out of the office, the better it would be as far as company security is concerned.

like the rest of the other migrant I also had a fair share on this experience .. there was 1 tie i got a max 4 interview in a week all got rejected, kung nag give up ako siguro wala ako sa kinatatayuan ko 🙂

Hi guys,

I have a question lang po. di ko kasi alam where to post na existing thread, sorry if OT. anyways, magtatanong lang ako regarding tax. I was offered to do partime job in my current employer, 4 hrs. a day. Do I have to declare it and will I be taxed? Im weighing kasi if tatanggapin ko ba ang offer, medyo mababa kasi ang salary compared to the income I will get if i'll be hired there. But the good thing about this offer is that I can take care of my son and still have an income since i'll be working home.

Sana makahanap ka ng work bago mag end October kasi Nov-Feb ang "break" nila dito. Tapos sa Dec hahataw lang ang mga temp/casual workers for holidays.
