We shipped all our stuff to Aussie a week before our moved and told the movers that we don't have permanent address in OZ. They said that's alright because our stuff will arrive in 4 weeks after it left the port in NZ. Then they called us 1 week before our stuff arrive and asked us our delivery address that time we already moved to the rental property. Else we would have paid a hefty storage fee because they charge per day. What's good with the movers that we hired is that they packed everything for us and leave all the good and stuff we can't bring to Aussie. Also with movers they are going to ask you to insure your stuff so if you have appliances like TV you can have a insurance. Like what happened to us our dryer didn't work so we filed a complained within the week of delivery. They replaced it with new one. If you decided to ship all your personal stuff check their insurance up to when you can lodged a claim.
Advice no food on the shipment, clean all you shoes because if they see any soil on the shoes they will quarantine it and asked you to pay for that. And you should declare all your stuff in a list but if you hire a mover you should have at least know what's in your shipment para tuloy tuloy sa customs and quarantine. Oh btw, ok lang sa kanila yung wooden furniture but not the wooden carvings for decor. Anything na bawal sa customs when you arrived in the airport and bawal din sa shipment. Esp. medicines unless you can present prescription.
