Multiple Job Offers - which to accept?

Guys,

Never in my wildest dreams I am creating this thread with the title.

But yes! It's true.. I might have 3 job offers in Sydney!

I am about to start work in a Sydney IT company on Monday. This morning another company contacted me for a final interview with the team and confirmed that I am frontrunner and could offer me a job afterwards.

Also, I had my interview yesterday with the world's largest bank for a 9-month contract with huge salary. Manager confirmed I did well on the interview. Recruiter called me back with a positive response that I might be hired if there will no internal hiring but chances are they might hire me on Friday

I am keen on accepting the 2nd offer. What should I do with the company I am supposed to start on Monday?

@Gori.. Oh cge, IKAW na..Ikaw na talaga ang pnakamaswerteng my 3 job offers. Nangyari na din yan sakin, kaso sakin dalawa lg ehh. So nagstick ako sa principle ko na first come first serve, so tinanggap ko ang first company na nag offer sakin which is un ang nagsponsor din sakin later on at where I'm working right now. Un ang principle ko kasi, sabi ko sarili ko e tatry ko ung first na nag offer kasi ung 2nd na nag offer mapupuntahan ko anytym yan just in case hindi ako magiging happy sa first. So so far happy ako sa first. At nagsabi ako ng totoo sa kanila na my job offer ako from other company, den I asked them if ever hndi ako maging masaya dun mkakabalik ba ako sa inyo. And they said yes, I can apply anytime and they will keep my records for future employment.

Mga factors na dapt tingnan is kung gaanu kalaki ang company, ilan ang hired na employees, mga benefits na pwdeng makuha at ang percentage na ma bankrupt.

Nangyari kasi yan sa mga pinoy dito, dey resigned from the company who sponsored them a visa kasi maliit ang sahod at lumipat sa ka competnsya na kung saan malaki ang sahod. E ang ka competensya wla msyadong costumer, ayun nagsara. Gusto nilang bumalik sa dating company ayaw na silang tanggapin.

@nfronda - alam ko kung ano ang gusto kong job. yung job to start on Monday entry level sya.. new IT career mababa ang sweldo.. yung 2nd job eh yun ang gusto ko dahil permanent at senior role...

Paano ang gagawin ko kapag nasa isang company na ako kaka-start lang tapos gusto kong lumipat sa ibang company?

@Gori..Ahh okk. Do you have the copy of ur employment contract/agreement on the first company? Baka nanjan ang process kung anu ang dapt gawin. Or else, e contact mo ung HR to withdraw ur job offer with a good reason kung bakit. Maiintindihan namn nla yan ehh at makikta nla na entry level ung sa kanila while sa kabila senior role. Pro pag both entry level ang role jan ka mahihirapan mag explain.

Thanks. Wala pang pirmahan pero nabasa ko na ang contract. 7 days notice while on probation. If I start on Monday and next day (Tuesday) I told them I want to quit do I still need to complete the 7 days notice? Will I get paid for that?

@Gori..Ahh okk, so sa Monday kpa lg pipirma ng contract? If I were u hindi ka na lg piprma at tell them the truth pra wla knang alalahanin pa. But of course before doing make sure na my job offer na tlaga sa 2nd company.

@Gori..For me, better to see them on Monday just for formality. Or kung nahihiya ka e contact na lg by email or phone ang HR. Wla sa kanila yan, isa pa entry level ang position madami pa silang pwdeng ma ireplace..

Maganda siguro ngayun pa lang i confirm mo na kung talaga tanggap ka sa 2nd job offer para kung sakali tanggap ka na doon sa Friday pa lang pumunta ka personally sa Hr dun sa unang papasukan mo na sabihin mo na di kana tutuloy on Monday kasi may job offer kana maganda. Gawa ka ng letter na mag thank you dahil kinuha ka nila at hindi mo na itutuloy then explain mo sa letter kung bakit. Syempre confidential yun kung saan ka lilipat. Para maganda pa rin impression sayo yan ang professionalism.

Okay lang naman yun na lumipat ka kasi maiintindihan ka nila. Syempre lahat naman ng naghahanap ng trabaho eh yung maganda ang pasahod at permanent pa. Di mo na kailangan kumpletuhin ang 7 days kung wala ka naman napipirmahan pa. Pero kung nakapag pirma kana maganda within 7 days.

Congrats @Gori. Sabi ko sayo bsta yang linya mo, ok na ok yan dito sa Australia. hehehe marami nagbbukas na permanent jobs for that from big companies dito.

Anyway, agree with @TotoyOZresident, make sure na may offer na tlga. Pero if sa tingin mo almost sure na yun, ipaalam mo na rin sa knila agad in person. Explain mo na lang. Understanding naman sila eh.

Yung contractor rates mas malaki tlga yan kesa sa permanent kase nga time-bound. And normally kasama na super sa rates na yan. Wala din kase benefits and paid leaves kaya factored in na yan. So yeah better ang permanent. Pero from what I'm getting, ang mga IT dito gusto contractor. hehehe Dahil nga mas malaki ang rates and mas madaming exposure. Once you're in naman, in ka na rin sa internal/hidden job market. hehehe napakaliit lang ng mundo ng SAP dito, which is both good and bad. hehe

by the way, yang 1st job offer na papasukan mo, medyo SAP generalist ba yan or dapat may Basis knowledge? May friend kase ako naghahanap ng work, SAP background din and nagsupport work din sya. Pde kaya sya apply jan pag kinuha mo na ung 2nd job offer? aheheh 😃

Kung inde ka pa nakaka pag commit pwede ka pang mag back out .. pero kung oo you can tell them nicely na" you have changed your mind"

@stolich18 - non SAP job yung napasukan ko.. actually 1st job i'm supposed to start with on Monday entry level job sya bagong career kasi nga walang SAP basis jobs dito. yung 2nd job general application support pero senior role kasi i'm into support naman eh

Wag ka mahihiya. Kung ano ikabubuti ng buhay mo yun gawin mo. Wag mo isipin ang iisipin ng iba kasi wala namang pakialam sayo yang iba in the end. Ikaw ang master ng iyong destiny. Kung ako sayo eh yung senior na permanent role. Mahirap sa contractual role di ka makaka housing loan (or at best mahihirapan ka maka loan) pag gusto mo na bumili ng bahay.

@Gori kung gusto mo tlg and mas ok ung 2nd job offer, go lang ng go. dito naman kase hindi katulad sa pinas na 30 days ang notice.hehehe actually since wala ka pa nappirmahan dun sa first job offer, pde ka pa umatras don. Yung iba nga nakapirma na pero come day one hindi raw nagpapakita. heheeh

Pag contractor din kase, alam ko nga na pde ka na magpaalam na the next day aalis ka na. ehehe yan ang sabi nila. works the other way around, ung company, pde ka rin nila alisin anytime kase nature ng contractual job ay parang casual work. hehehe tama rin si @kst, mahirap magloan pag hindi full-time permanent ang work mo. Though ok na panimula sya para makaipon agad ng pangdownpayment. ehehehe

based sa experience ko walang kaso kahit nakapirma ka pa. nagsign ako ng contract kay Company A wednesday & I'm supposed to start on Tuesday (holiday kasi yung monday).

I had a job offer again on Friday. I said yes over the phone and told company B that I will sign the contract on Wednesday afternoon.

Beside sa 2 company meron pa akong isang gustong employer pero wala pa sila job offer. Friday afternoon, I emailed company C na if I don't hear anything from them pipirma na ko kay company B on Wed at 2PM.

I received a call from Company C on Wednesday morning. I accepted the job and drop both A & B. Nagemail na lang ako because nahiya ako makipagusap. Company B tried to ring me pero I don't know what to say kaya off ko na ln cp ko for 1 week lol.

@Gori, mejo misleading thread mo but nonetheless congratulations on the job OFFER and the good vibes on getting a possible 2 other offers.

My 2 cents; sign ka lang sa firm #1 kasi at this moment yan lang naman ang mga concrete job offer... If offer from firm #2 come (which you prefer ika nga), take a look at the conditions and if okey, take it and just let them know na you need to resign muna sa firm #1...

Don't think it will be a problem if aalis ka as you are still on probation and 1 wk notice period ka lang. You will be paid for that as you work naman but then again, you won't lose too much naman if they won't pay you - hindi tama ito but at least you will be transferring to a better firm.

My dilemma is over. This morning I was offered a leadership position more than I expected. I was offered a leadership position. Support lang ang inaapplyan ko pero sabi nila mas bagay daw akong team leader ng support team. Thank God for all the blessings!

Job offer will be coming later so it means I don't need to report to company A.
