Opportunities for Nurses finding sponsor

Hi, I will be undergoing my ARNTP in Adelaide this coming mar 2014, I am a registered nurse since 2010, I have 2 years + of experience in the emergency room. I am just wondering if it would be easy to find sponsors for work anywhere in australia. I have Aunts in NSW and Brisbane I would prefer these places.

Nurses who had fist hand experience please, advice naman po kung madali lang ba or available ba talaga sponsors sa Australia by that time. I also have a Job offer at London which is why im weighing kung sa Aust ba talaga or sa London na lang. I know mas malaki talaga ang earnings pag sa Aust..

Also some of my friends told me na after bridging kelangan din raw mg enroll ng 1year couse to extend the VISA and to give us enough time to look for work over there.

Any advice is appreciated

Pinoy nurses are indeed having a hard time in finding employers to sponsor them kasi the australian government is mandating that the hospitals prioritize local nurses first. They will only be allowed to sponsor foreign nurses if they can sufficiently prove that effort has been made to look for a local nurse pero walang available kaya their last recourse is to sponsor foreigners nlng. A friend of mine who's already working in australia as a nurse warned me not to do the bridging program muna kasi marami daw sya kakilala na umuwi nlng ng pilipinas na bigo, after spending almost million for the bridging program. Sad but true..I am not trying to deter you. This is just to caution you to think twice muna and research more regarding this.

thank you po sa information, pero yung experience ba wont matter? kahit na may 2 years plus ako sa Emergency Room. ? mas uunahin pa rin nila yung may working rights?

yap.swerte2 din naman yan eh.although pahirapan nadw talaga makakita ng hospital na mgsponsor ng foreign nurses ngayon.not because they dont need it but because the govt told them to prioritize the locals 1st. But meron pa nmn madaming paraan.Go the student visa route first, good for at least 2 years,so you will still have lots of time to find an employer after ur done with the bridging program and after u get ur registration license in australia. yung iba kasi diretso bridging program agad. im not sure what the name of the visa is basta yung good for 3 months lng na visa and afterwhich u have to exit na. yun ang problema kasi konti lng time nila to look for a sponsor. ms maganda kung ur on a longer student visa para hindi masyado pressure sa time.if hindi ka pa rin makakita ng sponsor, you process for permanent residency visa nlng.pwede ka na mgprocess nun since u will be an australian registered nurse by then.just research sa immigration australia website how to go about in applying.u will need to get at least 60 pts.if hindi ka mk-abot, go for state sponsorships or regional sponsorship to get additional points.once u get ur PR visa or working visa, you will have no trouble finding a job as a nurse

@teabag24 hi, I did my bridging program back Feb2011 under 456 business visa, after 3months kelangan mo magexit ng australia pero pwede ka ulit bumalik for another 3months ing visa mo valid mo 1yr so every entry mo 3months lng... your question about uunahin pa dn yung may working rights or mga locals nila yes its true why, kasi cheaper ang mga new graduates, plus they don't need to pay for the visa, kasi ako from 456 (business visa) after ko masponsor they gave me 457 (working visa valid for 4years) then after a year my hospital sponsored me for permanent residency na, so both visa 457 and PR nagbayad sila sa immigration as my employer, alam ko almost $250 yung sa 457 tapos $500 sa PR...

can I propose na ako na lang mag babayad ng visa cost? para lang i hire nila ako? or salary deduction lang yung fees na nabayad nila sa VISA?
