Industrial Engineer in SA

Hi Guys,

Any advice about the employment opportunity of Industrial Engineer (as Quality Assurance Engineering jobs) in manufacturing environment in SA? Based sa latest SNOL, medium availability na lang po ang Industrial Engineer and i'm planning to take this path for visa application. Appreciate your feedback po.

cguro po try nyo na lang s ibang states lang NSW or Vic or WA..

Nakwneto kc sa akin ng officemate ko na Iranian na may friend sya from SA na IE dn Quality dn ang background and hindi daw nakahanap ng work for more than a year dn. Napunta yung friend ((classmate nya nung college) nya sa SA because of state sponsorship. Dahil nga ndi nakahanap ng work, nagpaalam na lilipat na lang dto sa Victoria ayun na hire nman ung friend nya agad sa 1 automotive company dto. Wala daw ganong manufacturing sa SA sabi ng friend nya. By the way IE dn po kami nung Iranian na officemate ko but ung line of work ko ay supply chain planning, ung c Iranian nman background nya quality talaga pero na move sya sa planning for a while pero ngayon balik Quality na ulit sya 🙂 , Mas madaming mfng opportunities sa Victoria and NSW, Queensland dn, WA is more on mining.

@happyinmelbourne34 pinayagan sya ng SA to move to Victoria even if SS ang visa nya? Did he or she stayed physically in SA for 1 year and looked for a job? Ano ang mga justification or evidence na ibinigay nya to get approval from SA? Still SS visa pa rin ang hawak nya?

@lock_code2004 yup. Short of 5 pts in case this is my last option, i will for 190. If im successful in my IELTS retake, go for 189.

Opo nag stay ung friend nya physically sa SA for 1 yr hoping nga na makakahanap kaso talagang mahirap daw kc kokonti ang manufacturing sa SA. Yup, pinayagan nman daw ng SA pero ang pagkakakwento sa kin ng officemate ko eh ung mahirap na job-market sa SA ang ginamit na justification ng friend nya para makalipat dto sa Melbourne. Yup, SS pa dn ang visa ng friend nya pero nagpaalam nman ng maayos sa immigration/state ung kaibgan nya kaya la nman problema. Why not go for 190 but pero magpa sponsor po kayo Victoria or NSW at least mas madaming mfng? Wala po ba ang IE sa mga profession na iniisponsor ng Vic and NSW or Queensland?

@happyinmelbourne34 - i think wla ang IE sa mga ibang states.. kaya limited ang option for visa 190

@happyinmelbourne34 yun nga ang problem eh wala sa lists ng occupation ang IE sa mga states na nabanggit mo pero sana in the coming months magkaroon ng opening sa mga states like NSW or Victoria. Sa ACT meron ding IE pero i doubt it kung maraming job opportunity sa MFG dun.

sir lock code, ay ganun po ba wala pala IE sa mga list ng state sponsor kala ko kasama sya. Cguro kaya ndi ni recommend ng agent ko non ang state sponsorship but rather go for 175 para walang limitation pagdating sa state.

@cvetu, meron nman iilan na mfng sa ACT pero napaka konti at mostly ni re require nla my security clearance so citizen lang ang pwede. Actually medyo mahina na nga dto ang mfng dahil sa cost. Ung Ford totally out of Australia na ung mfng nila by next year. Ano po ba ang industry mo? If ur from SG mostly po dyan mga semicon or electronics?

hmmm, unforunately po walang mga semicon or electronics industry dto, pero meron akong iilan na nababasa na mga companies pero more into RF or embedded design, microcontrollers. Its either automotive industry or telecom ang mapasukan nyo or ung sa mining or oil & gas related gaya ni sir lockcode.

Yes i think so, mostly yan ang mga field na may job opening na related sa occupation ko. Well lets see how it goes.

Hi, I am an Industrial Engineer too and I've been here in Adelaide for 9 months. I got my first job which is related to my work experience after two months. By the way, my work experience is more on procurement and supply chain analysis at Emerson Electric and Schneider Electric in the Philippines. It was a contract job for 6 months sa isang industrial automation company here in SA (Sage Automation) for their supply chain management project. Then just this month I got a another job at Schneider Electric SA, contract din sya pero hoping to have a permanent status here. Yung two jobs ko na ito is lahat Hays Recruitment yung naghanap. I am blesssed to get a job na sa skill set ko and mabait yung headhunter ko sa Hays. Kase mahirap makahanap ng work dito, konti lang kse job opportunities for an IE. And weird nga e, kasali IE sa SOL ng SA pero super konti lang nman job opportunities dito ng isang IE.
