<blockquote rel="TasBurrfoot"><blockquote rel="quesoboy">Hi Everyone,
I read somewhere that there will be jobs that will be taken out of the SOL come July 2014, and among the candidates is my occupation. I just finished submitting my application for assessment.
My questions are:
Is it possible that I'm disallowed to continue my application should my occupation be removed from SOL?
Which step is considered to be the FIRST step towards visa application, skills assessment or the actual lodging of the application?
The reason I'm asking is that I'm worried about this scenario:
- I get a positive result for my skills assessment and get an invitation to apply but I might not be allowed to apply if my occupation is removed from SOL.
Is this possible? Hope someone can help.
Thanks!</blockquote>
Skills assessment before you lodge an EOI.
You also need an IELTS which may come before or after you apply for skills assessment - check your assessing body for their specific requirements.
Assuming you get a positive skills assessment and you get an invitation to apply; good as safe ka na as long as you will lodge your visa application within the given timeframe. It doesn't matter if natanggal yung nominated skills mo in the SOL.
Act now before it is too late... This takes time! All the best.

so if ever there'll be changes in July 2014, won't affect to applicants who were invited to lodge a visa (kahit hindi pa naka-lodge ng visa) prior the change?
