I'm new here and I've been reading a lot about the Skilled Independent application process to be able to understand it well and eventually submit my application. I've found this forum to be quite helpful since I've had some of my questions answered just by reading through the posts here.
One thing that's not so clear to me though is: do you need to gather employer reference letters from ALL your previous employers? My employment history looks like this:
1st job (2006): Business Analyst
2nd job (2007): Part-time ESL teacher
3rd job (2008 to present): Business Analyst
- Duration: Almost 6 years and counting
I will be citing Business Analyst as my profession on my application.
I'm wondering if I should get an Employer Reference letter and if my 1st job would have any weight on my application given that it's been 7 years since I left and I only stayed 6 months. I'm pretty sure my 2nd job would not count, but should I also still request an ER letter for this?
I'm already almost 6 years into my current job, so should I only get an ER letter from my current employer? A friend of mine who's already in Australia said that this should be enough since I've been here a while and my current job will be the only one with weight on my application.
Your thoughts / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
