Congrats for the september medtech applicants who applied for visa 189. Now that the financial 2020-2021 report has posted, I hope & pray for the 190 offshore applicants will receive an immediate ITA as well.

Hello fellow medtechs. Pde po magtanong? BMLS po natapos ko 7 years ago but I only have 6 months work exp as a medtech sa pinas. If gusto ko po mag medtech sa au need ko po ba magaral ulit to be accredited? Thank you!

I talked to AIMS kaso ang labo nila kausap. sabi nila send lng daw ako requirements for assessment kahit sabot ko hndi ako aabot sa minimum req nila for exp. So tinanong ko what other things I can do to be qualified. Hindi daw nila alam... basta mag send lng ako ng requirements for assessment

You dont need to study naman po. Just have to meet their minimum requirement to qualify 🙂

You have to understand from their perspective, they need to see your documents before they can make their judgement. This is no different to an aspiring migrant asking a migration agent if they can lodge their eoi without providing the documents they have. An agent would need to see the documents to provide an accurate judgement.

I talked to them earlier. They gave me 3 options and all of them were to study either Bachelors', Masters' or a TAFE course + Work Exp.... the nearest accredited school for me is 6hours away so I don't think I have that much of an option. Maybe I'll make a career change instead. 🙂

It was recently announced that onshore applicants will be given priority over offshore and also other visa categories too.. GSM category is down for the current Australian financial year. This is in response to the pandemic as they need to focus on strengthening their economy. Hence, it’s unlikely to get an invite for this financial year....but this is for sure temporary. As the economy recovers, it is likely migration places will increase again. For now, best to focus on strengthening your case, making sure all your docs are compliant and lodge your EOI as early as possible so when all these restrictions are lifted, your EOI is already in place ready for an invite. This setback shouldn’t stop...just carry on but be more strategic.

May nakapagsabi po sakin dito before na pwede ka magclaim but upon visa lodging the CO MIGHT ask for new assessment ulit.

Hello Sir, similar circumstance po ito sa akin. ung nsa assessment ko kasi 7 yrs and 8 mos lang pero it was issued Jan 2020 pa, tapos ngpalit ako company name (pero same management, prang sister company ng previous employer ko) ng June 2020. Kailangan ko kaya mgpareassess ulit para 8 yrs plus ang work experience na nkalagy sa assessment ko? Or pwede ko nlang iclaim ung ung 8 yrs tutal saktong 8 yrs naman xa mgfall if icount ko til May 2020 na work expe ko. Thank you in advance po 🙂
