@sol hi sir, gud pm po....sir I'm just new here, i don't know if this is the right thread for this, but can you please help me? I just took my my IELTS exam (General) last april 2014 and got a score of R-8.0, L-7.5, W- 6.5 and S- 6.5 with OBS of 7.0. I will take my AIMS assesment this coming March 2015. I just want to know if I can already apply for EOI despite of having a 0 pts on IELTS after I pass my assesment,.Coz if I calculate my total pts as of now, I already have the 60pts passing rate. I am 30.yrs old, 8 yrs working experience and a Bachelor degree holder..I am just wondering kung pede n ko di kumuha o mgretake ulit ng IELTS kac nka 60 pts naman n po ko.... Hope you can help me. Thank you po....

@johanncedrick after assesment you will be classified as medical laboratory technician. Then you must search for a state to sponsor you. And lodge eoi simultaneously.

@johanncedrick at least 7.0 overall band score ang kelangan for AIMS assessment. So hindi mo na kelangan umulit. After mo mgpa-assess sa AIMS, ang ibibigay sau na registration is Med Lab Technician kse ang degree natin from Phils. Usually may ksamang invitation to sit for exam ung result ng AIMS assessment. Pag naipasa mo ung exam (March at September lng ang sched nito), magiging Med Lab Scientist ung status mo. Kung ngfail ka s exam, Med Lab Technician pa din status mo.

Kung gusto mong umabot sa March 2015 na exam, kelangan naipasa mo na ung required documents for initial assessment, which will take about 6 weeks. Kse ang deadline for the application for the exam is on Dec 31 (based sa letter n nareceive ko). Kelangan mo muna maprocess ung initial assessment bago ka mk-apply for exam sa March.

As Med Lab Technician (result of initial assessment) hindi ka pwede dumerecho sa Residenct Visa, which requires the 60 points that you mentioned, kse wala ang Med Lab Tech sa SOL (list ng mga occupation n qualified mag-apply for Resident Visa). Ang ksama sa list ay Med Lab Scientist. So kelangan mo muna ipasa ang exam kung gusto mo dumerecho sa Resident Visa and submit your EOI.

Ang option mo for Med Lab Tech ay State Sponsorship. Usually South Australia ang open for Med Lab Tech. Ibang procedure nmn to. Ang alam ko hindi cia points-based.

Conflicting yung dates ng deadline for submission ng Application form for the exam. Sa application form ang nakasulat Dec. 31, pero sa Guidelines for the AIMS Prof. Exam, ang nakalagay na deadline is Dec 20.

So para sure sundin natin yung earlier date which is Dec 20.. 🙂

@johanncedrick hi there... suggestion ko po is to think about it first ano ang gs2 mong applyan...

visa 190( state sponsorhip)- usually open quota every july. Ngaun siguro ubos na ung quota so u have to wait until july na nmn. Ang open s SA is med lab technician, sometimes daw open din ang Canberra-ACT but last july SA lng ang open for medlabtech.

obliged to stay for 2yrs sa state nag-sponsor sau un lng ang cons d2. Kung nagmamadali ka like me pra mkasama ang mahal mo s buhay pede to ksi mas mabilis lng. Ung sken, w/in 2 wks after maiapply, naaprove na state sponsorhip. tpos apply na ng visa

Pero sa ngaung month na dec na, u may want to try to sit for the exam sa march pero dpt nktpos ka muna ng assessment sa aims.

After passing the exam pede ka na apply for 189 visa derecho PR na un, ska wlang restriction saang state mo gs2 punta.

Case to case basis din kasi. Sa case ko inapply ko na state sponsorhip ng july ksi sept pa ung exam.

Ung process ng pag-apply, not sure of the data ksi nag-agency kmi d2 sg. Pero marmi nmn nag self-apply d2 so patiently wait k lng s mga reply nila.

Thank you very much po...ask ko lang po kac pag tinitingnan ko po sa immi.gov.au..yung visa 190 is dapat yung occupation ntin n medlabtech is nkalagay sa skilled occupation list...kac po medical scientist lang nkikita ko at wala po med lab technician...so meaning po next year possible open n ulit sa skilled occupation list yung med lab tec?....actually tapos n po ko assesment. and for exam n po ko sa march...kya lang po asa saudi ko0 ngyon at bakasyon ako sa pinas dec 11. kya lalo po ko di makpagaral ayos heheh, cyempre para po mkasam ko fam ko nagyon xmas...enuf po kay 1 month para mkpass sa exam?thank you po ng marami

@johanncedrick hindi ko lng sure kung open ang medlabtech sa visa 190 skilled skilled occupation list. Prng maliit ang chance mg-open un ksi ung medlab scientist na plgi nkalagay dun e. Ubg medlabtech i think is for state sponsorhip na path. That is mghihintay k ng states na mg-oopen dun tpos klngn mgstay for 2 yrs

Hello Sirs/Ma'ams,

Good day.

I'm researching about the occupation of Medical Laboratory Scientist.

This is to help my cousin to start her application in migrating to Australia.

First of all, I know that she needs to take assessment first from AIMS.

And I would like to verify if she is qualified.

She graduated from FEU with Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology.

She also passed the Medical Technology boarch exam.

Furthermore, she has been working for 8 years in a clinic. But I would verify what kind of work she does.

Are her qualifications sufficient for assessment?

Any advices/suggestions are appreciated.

@sprggn pasok naman yung qualification nia as BSMT. Sa work experience, minimum 2 years of diagnostic medical laboratory experience ang kailangan. So depende sa work nia sa clinic kung ngpeperform ba cia ng mga diagnostic lab tests. Then need nia magtake ng IELTS. hi everyone...saan po ba pwede mag review center for this aims exam? coz i have no time for self review coz im working right now with one toddler to look after..so medyo tight ang sked...im planning to have my leave to go for a review center instead.tnx for info..
