@svetlana @bhelle_mt02 Nakapagwork din ako sa US but I choose Oz because maganda ang employee benefits. Sa current US immigration law, hindi pwede makapagwork ang dependent(H4) ng working visa(H1B). Matagal ang process ng green card. Takes 5years to get US citizenship.
Sa mga hindi pa decided: Syempre maganda lumipat sa US as working visa kasi may work ka na once you get there. Wait ka lang mabigyan ng social security number at pwede ka na mag start sa work. Here in Oz, you can move as PR already. Although medyo mahirap maghanap ng work but as long as hindi ka mamili I think madali lang makahanap.
When it comes to employee benefits madami sa oz. to mention a few: Employer pay for your superannuation or retirement on top of your salary. Sick leave can be carried over to the next year if you haven't used it. Higher shift loading when you're working after hours and weekends. And even when your on vacation, you also get loading too. Long maternity leave as well as paternity leave.
In US benefits are also employer dependent: this were my benefits with my employer in Florida. you save for your superannuation and not the employer. Some will offer retirement matching if you're saving for retirement. No sick leave. No maternity leave. If you don't have vacation days, when you get sick or gave birth, you don't get paid.
Just my few cents.. It is still a matter of personal choice whether US or OZ.
