sa singapore mas malaki kinikita namin to be honest; yun nga mas malaki din ginagastos as we always eat out everyday, accommodation is expensive, may travel pa minsan minsan and of course sa shopping, you can easily get carried away.

Ehehehe!! But yeah, people are generally more stressed there.

Makahanap nga ng trabaho na may significant increase sa sweldo namin dati... eheheeh! 🙂 Pero seriously, kahit lesser pay namin dito (not that much) - we can still survive naman and we find ways to enjoy the free things in life. 🙂

In addition maybe sa culture na din cguro. Parang laging nagmamadali sa lahat ng bagay (mrt, pumasok sa office, hindi maagawan ng upuan sa kopitiam, mrt pauwi ng bahay, sale sa malls, etc.). They tagged as one of the most emotionless people and complainers in the world (if not the most) based sa isang survey nga dati. Eventhough they've got a lot of excellent things here in terms of security, environment, shopping, infra, weather, etc.

But I don't think in general they are underpaid especially ung mga tru-blue. Taas ng starting pay nila even without much experience may reklamo pa hehehe. Tax here is very small so if madiskarte ka makakaipon ka talaga ng todo. Plus majority naman ng companies here provide good benefits and bonuses based sa experience ko auditing various companies here and of course from my own company.

Tsaka ayaw nila patalo, marami ako experience sa public places (mrt, grocery, etc.) nagaaway sa maliit na bagay. Pero hanggang sigawan lang talaga sila bihira ung nagsusuntukan or sabunutan hehehe

You are working for more hours than you should but you are not compensated well enough..

Malaki ang basic salary pero sa level of work/stress/number of hours, hindi nagtutugma ang binabayad, that's what I meant..

^ share ko na din.. ibang-iba ang work environment talaga compare dito sa aussie, dito talagang per hour and work, ayaw nila nag mag OT ka unless super urgent which is very rare..

pag alas otso na dito, nakapagluto, nakakain na ng dinner and halos tapos na sa lahat ng gawaing bahay..

sa sg, alas otso, nag-iisip pa ako ng food na itatake-away at pauwi pa lang ng bahay..

this is just me :-)

Yung mga galing sa Singapore konting adjustments lang kasi same british english gamit, sports, right hand driving at calling on first name basis lang or initials.
