nung nagpunta kami ng cfo... incunclusive yung sagot ng speaker samen..

sa iba na nakapunta na dyan with their baby, pede ba magdala ng formula milk papunta dun, mga 3-4 na lata?

baka mamaya bawal tapos ipatapon lang samen e sayang lang... kaya lang walang gatas ang anak ko pagpunta dun... what to do?

Pwede. Nasa website ng customs na pwede ang formula milk, basta kasama mo yun baby syempre. Hehehe.

Just knew this info...hindi daw pwede magdala ng milk na made in the philippines dahil yata sa foot and mouth disease...so better yet, find a store that sells imported products...I might be visiting S&R here in our place para naman makabili ng milk kahit isang lata lang for immediate consumption...then ang iba dun na..

Sharing an actual experience in Melbourne Tullamarine Airport last June - we brought in some dried mango, dried pork and some peanuts.

Hindi ako natakot as I will be declaring everything there - the worst that can happen is that it will be confiscated.

The queue was a bit long, we prolly waited for close to 30 minutes before it was our turn. The lady was very polite and she asked what we had to declare - sabi ko the 3 items I mentioned above. She said the peanuts and dried mango are okey but the dried meat will have to be confiscated as they don't allow such to be imported.

I joked to her to eat it as it is very good (Bakwa from Singapore) - she said they are not allowed to do that and it will be thrown immediately BUT if I want, I can eat it daw as long as I just stayed within the vicinity.

So ayun, if in doubt just declare... The worse that could happen is that your goods will be confiscated but you will never incur a fine.

I carried a piece of bread in my hand carry bag from the airline I took when I went to Melbourne last June but I declared it. The immigration officer asked me what kind of food it was but she didn't bother to take a look of it. When I pass through custom, the officer just asked what food I was declaring, I said it's airline food and he just let me go through the exit line. When I watched Border Security these couple of days ago, I realised I did the right thing of declaring the food even though it was from the airline cuz there were passengers in the program who carried airline food with them without declaring it, then pinag-fine sila.

Hehe ayos yung experience ni @psychoboy...kung ako yan kakainin ko na lang yung dried meat kesa itapon siya hehehe, maki-chika ka na lang sa immigrations officer

Boss, to be honest... I did eat it as mejo nagugutom na rin kami that time!! Ang officer was cool lang. Di namin naubos ang serving though so when we were already full, we just threw it away. 🙂

May napanood akong episode ang payo ng officer kainin ng babae yung bawal na pagkain, aba nagmatigas...ilang oras siyang nakaupo dun (2+ hrs) akala siguro nya magpapasindak yung officer hehe

Dumating nga pla ako dito sa Sydney last Sunday, chine check lng tlga nila is food and wood, illegal substance. Hindi na ako dumaan sa customs checking sa exit 8 agad ako sa airport which is straight palabas ng airport. Tinanung ko din if dapat ba declare yun paracetamol, bioflu and decongestants. Sabi nun officer sa pila allowed daw yun although next time declare ko as medicine dun sa papel. Nagdala din ako hard disks, etc na may mga movies. Hindi chineck. Buti hindi ako nag effort na encrypt pa, etc.

Thanks guys. Yep, hindi chine-check. Sa nakita ko, sobra malas mo lang talaga if check ang laptop at gadgets mo, althoug tingin ko talaga check-in lang yan kapag suspicious ka talaga or may nakita beforehand na something sayo na hindi tama. Dont worry about it. Ako dala ko pa media player ko may hard disk sa loob, tapos 3 additional hard disk, ipad + laptop. Wala chineck kahit isa.

Does anybody here heard of wire transfer? 10k dollars is the max per person but who in the right mind would bring such money if bank wire transfer is readily available? Kausapin nyo bank nyo paano at magkano ang wire transfer nila. SWIFT code lang ang requirement and of course you need a bank na established. The millior dollar question is saan sa Pinas meron mga Australian banks na locally na nag-office sa Pinas? Check nyo ANZ, CBA, NAB etc....

or....check your local ATM card... may VISA or MASTER or CIRRUS logo? Your pesos will be converted as dollars pag withdraw nyo dito. Kung ayaw maniwala itanong nyo sa bank. BPI and Metrobank naman sigurado ako nagagamit hahaha since naka cirrus yun.

or.... open a multi-currency account sa HSBC or sa citibank or even yung local bank sa pinas kung meron sila noon.

I HOPE MAENLIGHTEN NA LAHAT NG PAPUNTA NA HINDI NAMAN HULI ANG AUSTRALIA SA TECHNOLOGY PATI BANKING SYSTEM. MATAGAL NA PO YAN.

Now I hope you get to understand that "your plastic card is your new best friend."

I like the first page where it says "kopiko coffee" hehehe meron po at saksakan ng dami ng Asian store dito pati pampaputi ni Belo meron sila. SURPRISE! Yes, parte pa rin ng mundo ang Australia at hindi outer space so yung hinahanap nyo meron dito plus more. Even balut meron or sinigang mix or dugo ng baboy na binebenta. So wag na kayo makunsume dahil you just need to read and ask... pag problem sa money transfer ask your local bank, pag problema sa favourite food nyo ask yung office ng food maker kung meron sila distribute sa ibang bansa, kung problem paano magremit ask all remittance centres, pag prob ang cargo shipment google... use the mighty google.
