@vhoythoy regarding document status changes, yung Medical ko was uploaded by the Panel Clinic, 1 week ago (Oct13).. sa case mo natatandaan mo ba kung gaano katagal before nag-update to "Received" yung status ng "Health Evidence" sa ImmiAccount?

Ngayon nag-aappear pa rin sakin na "Recommended" then doon sa baba meron lang..

If this person needs to do anything further to meet the health requirement, they will be contacted by the department. There is no need to contact the department at this time concerning this matter."

mga 1 week cguro. pero baka automatic naman yun nagupdate baka may ibang tao/assigned na magreceived ng docs other than the CO. Feeling ko kasi mga last week ng ika 8th week na ako nagka CO. Basta unang email na nareceived ko is cancellation ng EOI "your skillselect EOI has been removed" 8:12am. then after that visa grant letter email na, halos magkasabay lang 8:13am. CO is Jason Huang ng team Adelaide.

Nga pala, what form identification can we show to authorities if for example they need to know if we have the proper visa or immigration status, may stamp ba of some sort na itatak ang Immigration Officer sa passport when we land?</blockquote>

yup, usually medicare, or DL kung meron na. otherwise they would have to (and can) access VEVO if they need to.

tanong lang po - after receiving the visa grant, nagpunta po kami ng australia for 1 week at nag-bakasyon. tapos nag depart muna kasi di pa kami ready to settle sa aus.

di pa kami nag-apply ng TFN or nag register sa centrelink/medicare or nag visit ng any DIBP office.

confirm ko lang: na-satisfy naman namin yung initial entry requirement for the visa tama? basta nakatungtong sa aus diba?

Ask ko lang po sana paano magacquire ng sim sa adelaide or kung uso po ba ang prepaid dyan or postpaid talaga? sa airport po ba merong mabibili and mga how much po kaya? also saan pwede magpurchase ng load if ever?

I'm not sure po kung may thread na nito dito. Kung meron na, pakidirect na lang po ako sa link.

There are prepaid here... And yeah, you can get a sim from the airport; around $2 for a sim and bayad ka lang sa credits mo.

Google will probably help you better! 🙂

Yup, at Sydney airport there's a Vodafone and Optus shop at Arrivals. I'm sure the other airports have telco shops as well 🙂

Hi guys -- newbie here. Me and my partner just got approved for state sponsored temp visa (489). Sa NT kami and we're planning to settle in Darwin to satisfy the 2 year residency requirement. My partner is departing this December at susunod naman ako Feb next year. A few questions, please indulge me:

Yun bang mga nakapost sa unang page ay current pa din? I know dahil temp lang visa namin pa, di pa eligible sa medicare? What to do?
My partner is in human resources and priority ang field nya. Ako ay nasa marketing at writing. So far may mga advertisements naman pero parang kokonti. Do you have any idea how long it usually takes newly arrived immigrants to find work in Aus for the first time?
What minimum range of household income is appropriate? Rents in Darwin seem to be very high. Di naman kami maarte so if you could advice on range of income for 2 persons living together to survive modestly, that would really help.

Madami pa akong tanong pero ito yung mga pinakaimportante na nasa isip ko na makakatulong kung mabibigyan nyo ng feedback. We're both excited at the new opportunity and at the same time may kaba din ng konti dahil magrerelocate kami ng walang kakilala at sa part pa ng Aus na hindi main city. Buti nalang merong ganitong forums.

@snihed, mahihirapan ata makakita ng work ang partner mo kung HR cya. They usually pick the ones who have local experience. Baka mas makakita ka pa ng work.

Bakit December though? Closed lahat at lalo cyang mahihirapang maghanap ng work. Sabay na lang kaya kayo?

With regards to rent and such, nung nag apply ba kayo ng sponsorship, did you submit an excel file that details expenses for 6 months, based on your research?

@bookworm Thanks for the reply. Yung field nya kasi ang kasama sa csol, ako yung secondary applicant. Kaya this december ang alis nya ay dahil sasabay na sya sa tita nya who is vacationing in darwin for the holidays, bale parang yun na ang first entry nya at kung posible eh magtingin na ng trabaho at matitirahan para pagsunod ko next year, at least may accommodation na kaming 2. Ako kasi may mga obligasyon pa sa trabaho hanggang Q1. We did submit the doc about projected expenses pero I thought to ask kasi mas practical siguro ang sagot kung nakatira ka na sa Darwin (or any other city).

So any advice for us since we only have temp visa's? -- alternative to lack of medicare coverage, insurance, may maitutulong ba ang centrelink sa amin, etc?

a, matagal pala yun. nag try ako gawin yun online pero sabi sa records, wala pa daw ako dun haha. Ang galing ng system nila.
