HI, we are about to apply for the Visa and all is clear and sorted apart for needing a statutory declaration, signed by the child’s other parent (or other person with a legal right to decide where the child lives), that allows you to take the child to Australia. I am living in the UK and my ex husband agrees for me to take our son as we both remarried years ago. Where or how does it have to be done? Via court or solicitor? Would it be sufficient if he signs and has a witness, for example an officer in the army?? Your help and advice is appreciated

familiaC hello, I am in the process of lodging our 189 visa as we have recently received an ITA. Can you please share if you know how to go about this: I (mother) have an illegitimate child who will migrate with me, my husband (not the child's bio father), and another child.

Should the bio father of the illegitimate child still sign Part B. of FORM 1229 even if I have the sole parental authority as provided by our Family Code? Or will it suffice na ako lang talaga mag sign plus mag execute ako ng Affidavit of Sole Parental Authority/Custody/Responsibility? Ano ba dapat?
