Misspelled Visa Application Summary

Hi,

We have a few questions lang for anyone who could give us some advice...

Na-receive namin a few days ago yung Visa Application Summary namin but we found out na mali yung spelling ng name ng secondary applicant. Upon checking naman ng Record of References sa Electronic Visa Application site, nakita namin na we entered the name correctly naman. Kaso, somehow mali yung spelling ng name na lumabas sa site and sa Visa Application Summary. In-inform na namin ang DIBP gamit yung Email Reply Form sa site nila tapos nag-attach din kami ng PDF letter informing them of the misspelling dun sa Electronic Visa Application site. We are currently awaiting their response.

Our questions are:

a) Pwede na kaya kaming magpa-medical even before the name is corrected by DIBP? Coz this would mean na baka mali yung name ng Secondary Applicant sa Medical Referral Letter. Or should we wait for the name to be corrected muna before magpa-medical?

b) tama ba yung approach na ginawa namin in contacting DIBP via the Email Reply Form and by attaching a letter sa Electronic Visa Application site? Or may mas mabilis/appropriate na way ba? Wala kasi kaming makitang email address sa Visa Application Summary and hindi rin namin makita sa site ng DIBP.

Hi James, try mo igenerate yung referral letter ng medical baka tama naman spelling ng name doon. Sayang din kasi ung time ng paghihintay nyo sa response ng DIBP.

I'm currently experiencing almost exactly the same thing. I still haven't heard back from DIBP (I submitted an Email Reply Form on 1 Mar). I've been calling 131 881 during my lunch hour, waiting up to 20 minutes each time, but have had to hang up because I needed to go back to work. Before/after work, I can't call because it's outside DIBP office hours.

Like you, the Record of Responses is correct, whilst both the eVisa page and the medical referral letter are wrong. Sana maayos na. Like you, nade-delay tuloy ang medical ko. Iuupdate kita.

just to update everyone following this thread, may reply na kaming nakuha from DIBP (dun sa enquiry na ginawa namin from their Email Reply Form). They're asking us to fill up the Form 1023 - Notification of Incorrect Answers then include a cover letter explaining na we spelt the name correctly but it seems the system has made the error. we'll give an update uli as soon as the name has been corrected

In my case, since I asked specifically about the medical referral letter, I was told to email the eMedical team directly. I've done so, but haven't heard back.

hi @mazza just wanted to give an update... sorry at medyo na-late ang posting kasi we wanted to wait for the results before posting anything sa forum 🙂 just wanted to share what happened with us re: the referral letter and medical.

some weeks after naming mag-upload ng form 1023, naayos naman yung name sa site pero yung referral letter, hindi pa rin. so we went ahead with the medical. aside from the referral letter, we also brought the new application summary na naka-indicate yung correct name nya para sure. pero hindi naman nagkaroon ng issues sa clinic... mukhang HAPID lang kailangan nila and to make sure na tama na yung name sa site ng DIBP.

The eMedical team fixed my medical referral letter eventually (two days after I wrote again to follow up). Then my CO fixed my name in eVisa. Na-grant na din kami. 🙂
