@jacsme salamat ha for your additional information. oo nasaba ko nga na 4.5 na lang ang IELTS ang saya saya.

@Isyut nabasa ko din na need IELTS pero 4.5 na lang. Nahihirapan kasi ako sa IELTS hehehe

@michel_75 not sure if need pa mag IELTS ulit. Need to clarify on this. But yung sinubmit na IELTS during pag lodged nang 489 visa di ba valid pa yun? Not sure if applicable pa din ba yun 3 yrs validity nang IELTS.

@Isyut sabi nya kasi each applicant..so meaning kasama ako di ba? tama ba ako? kasi kung after two years yon possible na expired na yong ielts natin non. sa tingin mo?

Requirements

You might be able to get this visa if:

you have lived for at least two years in a specified regional area of Australia

you have worked full time for 12 months in a specified regional area of Australia

you hold a Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489), a Skilled Regional visa (subclasses 475, 487), a Skilled Independent visa (subclass 495), or a Skilled Designated Area visa (subclass 496)

or

you hold a Bridging visa A or Bridging visa B after applying for a subclass 495, 487 or 489 visa.

pero dito wala naman ielts na hinihingi.

Baka sa secondary applicants lang siguro. what do you think?

@michel_75 sa tingin ko for secondary applicant yun. But I read in other forums di naman daw sila hiningan na IELTS ulit. Yung IELTS ata validity nila is 3 yrs sa DIBP. Anyway, priority na e comply is yung 2 yrs residency in regional area at 1 yr na full time job. And of course, yung police clearance din pala.

hi po. i just need some clarification regarding visa 489. in my understanding, anyone can apply this visa as long as the applicant has a PR family member who is willing to sponsor.

that is just one of the requirements..

visa 489 relative sponsorship visa is point tested as well

your occupation should be in SOL...

thanks lock_code2004...i was actually contemplating on applying visa 489 because i got 6 in speaking IELTS but i just then found out that for accountants, i still need to get band 7 in all components. the best thing to do right now is to retake and pass everything...

Hi!

Baka po pwedeng pa-clarify lang re the condition: worked full time for 12 months.

Per fairwork.gov.au kasi: Full-time employees usually work 38 hours a week. They’re paid for a full week’s work and get paid annual leave and sick leave.

Pero sa mga nababasa ko dito sa forum 35hours/week. Sabi din kahit 2-3jobs pa basta mag-account into 35hours/week in 3 years' time, pasok na yun sa condition. Pero pano yung 2nd sentence based sa definition ng fairwork? Eh ang mga temp jobs, no work-no pay so contra na sa 2nd sentence.

Please help po. Thank you.

Hi @yeshua77 pwede na ung 6.0. Wag ka na mag retake as long as ung total pointing system mo e 65 above.. Pwede ka na mag register sa skill select. Anyway di mo naman ma ciclick ung button dun kung di ka pasok sa requirement.

Ako i got 6.5 pero ang required sa akin is 7.0. Naka pagregister naman ako sa skill select kasi ang total points ko sa pointing system eh 70 points. Un lang naka zero ako sa english proficiency. Pero ok lang pasok naman ung points ko. I try mo na mag register sa skill select.. Para di ka na magtake ulit ng exam.

Good day mga sir. Jusy want to ask for your opinions on my case. I've been thinking of applying for a subclass 489 kasi i have an aunt who is in bundaberg queensland. Now ito po yung mga tanong ko:

Mas ok po ba na samantalahin na may relative ako sa isang region ng au kaysa sa mag independent? Ang laki kask ng difference sa expenses.
Is there a way na makakapagrevise po ako ng visa kapag nasa au na ako kung gusto kong magtrabaho sa region outside sa naka designate sakin? And also kung eligible po na magprocess din ako ng Permanent Residency.
Is it possible for me to bring my partner/family in the future sa au? Salamat po in advance!

@jacsme ano ung nominated skill niyo? kasi ako kasi general accountant. at need ung migration assessment as an accountant pero di naman ako makakakuha nun unless band 7 ako on all components. kaya need ko tlga mag retake.

@narmario17 i suggest you apply for permanent visa kung kaya lang ng points mo..489 kasi walang medicare and centrelink kaya addtl gasto sa insurance at walang support ang govt pag wala kang work.. Pag visa 189 applayan mo pwede ka naman tumira anywhere you want in Au...pag 489 kasi, you have the obligation to stay in specified regional area for 2 years and have at least 1 yr fulltime work for you to be qualified for a PR visa...last resort mo na lang yong relative sponsor kung talagang di mo kayang abutin ang 60pts.

Once naapprove visa mo, di na yon marevise unless qualified ka na for a PR visa..489 visa has a pathway to PR after 2 years stay and 1 year full time work.

Why not add your partner and family during application para minsanan na lang..you cannot add a family member pag naapprove na visa mo especially pag 489 visa..ibig sabihin magaantay ka muna ma ma PR visa mo para masponsor mo sila to come with you to Au.

@yeshua77 - software engineer ung nominated skill ko. Ano ung migration assessment ito ba ung skill assessment ? Like ung sa akin eh australian computer society? Check mo ulit sa website ng dibp baka pede ka na.. Sayang ung bayad mo 8600 din yan kung mag retake ka pa. PM ko sayo email ko.. Send ka ng email sa akin..

@narmario17 tama si @fgs kung kaya naman ng points mo mag independent ka na lang wag na 489. Like in my case Subclass 489 ako. Di ako pinapansin ng mga company dito kasi di ako PR. Mahirap makipag compete sa mga PR na. Kahit may skills ka pa talo ka pa din pagdating sa residency.

Lalo na kapag malaki ung company at maganda ang benefits. Usually sa mga citizens at pr's lang nila binibigay..

Thank you mga sir! Yung 189 po ba eh automatic PR ka na? I'm not pllaning to bring my family yet kasi. I will pursue the 189 nalang kasi i'm planning to aply to Zeiss kasi sa au. Sa distributor nila dito sa pinas ako currently employed and ngtrain na kasi ako sa germany. Malaki yung edge ko kung sakali. Another question: do they have a requirement para sa mga pasado ng 189 na amount of money na proof na you can live in australia independently? Or may assistance muna from au? Thanks in advance mga sir.

@narmario17 189 is an PR independent visa and you can live and work permanently anywhere in Au.If i were you isabay mo na apply family mo para minsanan na lang, they can just validate their visa before the initial entry date and back to Ph then balik na lang once settled ka na. There is no show money required. I believed forthnight ang allowance ng centrelink pero may waiting period din....not automatic na may allowance ka agad from the government whule looking for work. Centrelink support is also limited based on your circumstances..

@jacsme Hello. May nahanap ka na ba na work? I am going to the path that you went, tinatamad na kasi ako mag IELTS. Im just waiting for an invitation after submitting my EOI and SS SA last July 1. How is it having a 489 visa? Thank you! 🙂
